The art gallery I work at had an opening reception this evening for the exhibition that opened today. I went to it, and brought along my mother and Dave. It was fun to mingle with everyone, and we enjoyed the art (and food and wine!)
I wore the dress I made a while ago with the pleated neckline, and paired it with my cowboy boots that I just don't wear often enough! I was happy about that since it was the first time I had an appropriate occasion to wear this dress - I wanted to wear it a month or so ago, but it was so COLD out and the neck is open, so it just didn't look right. The weather is beginning to become warmer, so this dress was perfect - yey!
After we came home, I had my mom take a picture of Dave and I since he was still in his work clothes and I had on my dress - we both looked presentable and I wanted to take advantage of the situation.
