Last Monday, I attended a gala in New York City for a reunion for a theatre I used to dance at.

It's a really great article, especially the last line! There are so many memories I have associated with Surflight - it was the first time I was away from home - I was 16 and without a license during my first season! I had to get to rehearsal each day, make my own food, and then perform in a show that evening! And then repeat it all the next day! It was then rough going back to my senior year of high school, having worked with professionals all summer and then dealing with petty high school bullshit that I then *knew* didn't meant anything in the "real world." So yeh, it matured me in a way and made me realize my talent - being on a stage with professionals and having daily commitments and making frienships that are still strong to this day.

"I still remember finishing a performance and running to the call board," he added, "panting to see what my next role would be"' - I remember doing that! The first time I looked I was shocked that I was a featured dancer, partnered with a boy that I had hooked up with the previous summer (who was sorta the reason I auditioned in the first place.) Then on the opening of that show, I ran to the board again, and saw that I was cast as Mrs. Potiphar in "Joseph." Sweet.
I also remember the time I leaned on a table in the dressing room, said, "It smells like something is burning." Where Cynthia said, "It's your own flesh!" cause I had leaned on a curling iron. I was about to go onstage in five minutes. I still have the scar.
I didn't post my pictures from that night just cause I haven't gotten around to it, but I will!!!
