Just a quick update...
Star is feeling a lot better this week, and I am very proud of her! In other family news...
-Lionheart put in an offer on a two-family house that he loves; his offer was accepted, and he now hires the inspectors to be sure the place is sound. If all goes well, we may be moving in rather soon! Cross your fingers! It would be both affordable and comfortable. It's a two-family house in a quiet but near-urban neighborhood, with wrap-around porch (we love watching storms, so there we go!), porch swing, etc. We'd be renting from him, and "at cost" for now. He's a real miracle-worker.
-I have family in town and more on the way! Last weekend Star's brother stayed with us overnight, and his cheerful nature really "reset" me.
-We've received some financial assistance that should ensure that our move is successful, and without being evicted and dealing with the court and all that. My wonderful family has assured me of backup living space if needed, with the help needed to make it work if it becomes necessary. That was a huge load off my mind. Some really generous people care, and we're just blown away by the level of help we've gotten in all forms.
-Today I got to actually sleep for a long time, and feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better.
So now I'm up doing laundry, dishes... and I'm cooking the best beef stew ever (mine is very good if I say so myself).
I still can't get over how much better I feel having caught up on sleep...
