YAY I LOVE THESE

I love memes. They are so easy to copy-paste when one has had... six glasses of wine? Maybe seven? Something like that.

Somebody ask me about my sexual orientation. IT'S HILARIOUS.

I'm going to drink some water now, then pass out.

Choose a number and ask me…

01. My sexual orientation ( Read more... )

LOLOL yes.

I realized during a discussion with a friend this weekend: I have NO TYPE. I have no preference as far as gender identity, intellect, race, sex, or personality. My current crush is a hispanic cisgender male nerd. My last sexual partner was a black lesbian rolly derby enthusiast. Before that: mixed-race transgender/genderqueer musician and activist.

23: humor, appreciation for spirited discourse (read: arguing), empathy, lack of demands and expectations.

31: I love my shoulders. I mean, I have a pretty contentious relationship with most of my body, personality, and habits, but my shoulders have ALWAYS been good to me.

39: see note below

I WAS JUST ABOUT TO ASK YOUR SEXUAL ORIENTATION.

Failing that, What are you really excellent at, and what are your biggest turn offs?

Sexual Preference: I really don't have one.

I have weird feelings about the word "excellent". The only thing I really excel at is being cheerfully pessimistic, but even that's been failing me lately: too much desperation and optimism in the air right now.

I do think I'm a pretty good writer and travel partner, however.

Turn-offs: the only thing that is guaranteed to make me not want to sleep with someone is if they are into popping other people's pimples. I'd like to say that assholery is a turn-off, but my dating history says otherwise.

The best dates, in my opinion, don't really start off as "dates". They start off as "hey, I have this free afternoon, wanna get together and do something or other?" and then turn into strange and awesome adventures that are completely effortless. Lots of conversation is involved, and often quite a bit of walking aimlessly.

Is it terrible that I can't recall anything in particular? I mean, not because nobody says nice things to me, but more because I'm really terrible at taking in compliments.

OH WAIT. A few years ago, when I was working at Bread and Puppet, this adorable baby queer told me that I'd been a source of strength to them. And that they looked up to me. Something like that. It was pretty good for me to hear.

Haha, aw, you and I are like opposites on the date front ;) Not that I am opposed to strange/awesome adventures with lots of walking and talking, but I tend to have those with my friends and expect different things from a date.

Also, you are a role model!

33, but it doesn't have to be all of them if you don't want/if you've been to a fuckload of shows. Just pick your favorites.

33: Oh jeez. I've been to a lot of shows. Erasure was the last one, and it was amazing.

When I was living in Olympia, I went to house shows on a pretty regular basis. Some favorite artists:

Kimya Dawson, whose music saved my life a few times.

The Terrordactyls, who are cute like... hedgehogs in christmas sweaters.

Polka Dot Dot Dot, who are also cute. And this video, oh my god, all the memories of Olympia ever.
