I just can't shake the feeling that Twitter is exactly like Tumblr, only distilled to 140 characters. And possibly less gay.

I have no idea what goes on on Tumblr. but on twitter is like a combination of Wikipedia and Facebook, with intermittent scatterings of porn.

Tumblr is, for me:
30% porn (actual porn, cheesecake porn, vintage porn, erotica, kink, sex positive porn)
30% cats
30% news
10% WTF (tattoos, cephalopods, unicorn macros, Doctor Who gifs, mp3s of soul music and post-punk bands I've never heard of.)

It's a happy place where everything's gay and nothing hurts.

Then you should probably stay on tumblr, actually. Twitter (based on my own tweets) is like 50% that, 40% complaining about school/work/humanity, 10% unpleasant arguments.

LOL, I keep all my whining on LJ and Facebook. Okay, some of it leaks onto Tumblr, but I try to make up for that with pictures of cats and boobs.
