Ambush - S2 Flexisquares Layout: Free and Paid

May 07, 2006 17:06

I've become obsessed with getting my layout to look exactly the way I want it. I started off using an older version of peoplemachines's now famous layout, customized the living daylights out of it, spruced up the arrangement of the friends page using the Theme layer, and added some Famfamfam icons, and came up with this final product.

Since putting it up, I've gotten a few emails asking me how I did a few things, so I decided to alter my own layout and regurgitate it back up to offer here.

Now there are a few things you're not going to get if you're using just the CSS with a free account:
  • Sticky post with links.
  • Rearranged metadata.
  • New userinfo/etc. icons.
  • Icon inbetween comment links.
  • Entry to the right of icon on friends page.
Also, I don't like to use my layout on my entry pages, so there aren't any stylings for that. Feel free to make your own, though.

Free Accounts:
Go read dooped's easy to follow instructions.

Paid Accounts:
Go read dooped's easy to follow instructions on setting up the CSS. To learn how to set up a theme layer, follow these instructions. Once you're at the page where you edit your layer, simply copy and paste the codes I provided in the .txt file and hit "Compile". Easy as pie! Also: The dashed line on the friends view is located in the FriendsPage::print_entry function! You can edit it there.

Rules:
Remember to disable the sidebar!
Do not hotlink images or CSS!
No need to credit!

If you're just going to use the Theme layer, I ask that you don't credit me. I found all of the codes at s2layers, which were written by other users, I simply put the ones I liked together.

Feel free to customize as much as you want. Enjoy!
