question: which would you say is better to start out with, the book or the movie? cos i could totally begin either way, and i do enjoy elijah wood's acting skills.

ooo it was a book first?! then i have to read the book first! i'll definitely pick it up, been looking for a good read. i always read the book first because when i watch the movie i always picture the actors when i read, or i'm waiting for certain scenes to go a certain way and they don't... and it just ruins it.

yeah, understandable.

i took a film/lit class last year that had alot to do with adaptation recreation. so i do understand how hard it can be to recreate something with another medium..
