cast list
I was just cast in two roles and in two productions. how fab is that?
I was cast as a Vecina in Electricidad (the fall play), which is the latin version of Electra by Shakespeare. It's awesome. It's about gangs and stuff. I play a latino woman, sweet!!! lol. I beat out a bunch of people for this role, it made me happy, muahahaha!!! Hopefully my name will be La Connie, because that is one of the Vecina's names and I really want to be able to walk around and be like "hello, I am THE connie, yes, you may call me, THE connie" lol.
I was also cast in the opera called The Festival of the Dove. I am in the chorus and I play someone's wife and someone else, i can't remember. they are small parts, but I still beat out the people who didn't get a part right?
so yes, I am in two different productions going on at basically the same time. so my nights just got booked. yippee! oh well, at least I still have weekends, hell yes!
speaking of weekends, in the last three days, I have gone to two parties (a KA and KSig party) and a social (with GPhiB). Can someone say social butterfly? I can!!! finally, lol. dude! last night I finally found out what peppermint shnops (sp) is. good stuff. shyr and I took a shot, wow, it burns like hell going down but tis yummy. I also had a cup and a half of jungle juice and half a beer (i don't really like beer, it tastes like carbonated water, so I just eventually set it down and ditched it). Me and like 6 phi sigs were dancing in Daniel's kitchen at the party, it was great. everyone else was in one of the living rooms (there were two....it took me awhile to realize that) but we were getting drinks and just decided to stay there. OH! and the funniest thing ever happened. the sliding glass door broke, so each time I went in or out, some guy would be like "let me get that for you" but then he couldn't get it, so another guy would meander over and help, and eventually it would take four guys, two on each side of the door (two inside and two outside) to open it! so hilarious! and then I would just go back inside or outside, LOL! funny shit! the party on friday sucked though. we basically stood around for an hour staring at each other before I left. there were some awesome drinking games going on though. i was watching these guys doing keg stands, lol, that was hilarious. then there was this ice sculpture one that was intriguing. they ran out of alcohol after like two hours though, because the swim team came uninvited (normally its greeks only...and hot chicks (seriously)) and drank it all and then left. the ksigs were so mad, they wanted to find whoever invited them and kick their ass.
anywho, so I left after an hour and no I did not drink at that party. didn't feel like it. i had five sorority meetings today, but I got a lot of things planned. oh and I found out that I cannot attend Relay for life guys, I have recruitment going on then. oh well, i'm still doing race for a cure. i'm so excited about the sorority this year, as opposed to last year when i really wanted out. i am so into it right now, i like almost everyone, and things are going well, for now, lol.
