iPod

So.. I caved in and got a replacement for the $100. It was going to cost more to get another mp3 player anyway, and there was something wrong with it that a simple battery replacement may not have solved.

But now that it's back and seems to be working, it's randomly deciding to not interface with my PC. It's really pissing me off. I never had this problem when I first got the original, but when the battery started to go, it would do it every once in a while. This one is doing it all the time unless I completely restart my PC every time I go to update the thing.

I know the Firewire card is hooked up properly because I checked it not too long ago, and also because the iPod is charging. It just doesn't want to interface, connect, and update itself. And I have no idea why, other than Apple made it that way on purpose since the thing does try to connect to my iBook without a problem (but the music is on my PC!).

I hate this.. I hate Apple.. and I wish I never bought this thing. If this one ever decides to die, I'm not replacing it again. I'll just save up the money for a better mp3 player. I might even do that in a few months, anyway, if this keeps up. I would have now if it wasn't that I didn't have the extra cash on me.

Please people.. do not buy an iPod. Buy something else, like one of the Creative Labs mp3 players or something. They will certainly work with your PC. But unless you have a Mac, just don't. You're wasting your money on something that has a good chance of not working properly.
