one french fry short of a happy meal
Sitting in a car for hours on end really isn't as enjoyable as I remember it being last year. New Jersey is only 12 or 13 hours away depending on which route you take. Not much and too much have changed there all at the same time. The things that have changed were expected, surban sprawl, closing of peach and apple orchards, more walmarts in the middle of fields which used to be orchards, more protesters, the well dropped another 50 plus feet....it's the same sad changes as last year. The weather was nice, my grandparents are doing okay (they are getting pretty old and it shows) But it is home and I so miss it.
The other super trip I went on was to Milwaukee, and it really was super. Natalie is home, so we went to see The Menthols, visit Erica, Dewey, Meredith, and Tony, and just catch up; it'd only been 3 months, but it seems like so much longer.
I'm all road tripped out for awhile.
