(no subject)
So I felt that it was time for an update. :-) Currently I am searching for a new job (if anyone has any leads in the Cleveland OH area, please let me know!). I really had thought that in a place where our job is to do good and help animals, the people who work there would be better people. As it turns out, it is pretty much the opposite. When Chewie (that little devil pup) decided to eat a bible one night, and I told them at work, a certain tech said "Good for her!" And so forth. I never realized how much different people are if they are raised in a Christian family, even if they themselves do not believe! It is amazing to me how rude and uncaring someone can be about another's feelings! Hence why I want a new job...
But as much as I hate my job right now, at least I get 9 wonderful days away - and to amazing Rome of all places. I am so excited about our anniversary, our vacation, and everything else, I actually almost forgot about how horrible my job is right now! We leave Friday and come back on the 20th. I cannot wait, we are getting excited and counting down!
And in other news, we are waiting for the last recommendation letter to go through so that we can send in Steven's application for.... the Navy. Crazy isn't it? Once that goes through though, we should hear back in a couple weeks which of his choices he got selected for, as well as when he leaves for Officer training, and when I get to pack up and move to our next station. I had always thought the military life would be fun, but realized that I myself would never be suited for it - and now I get the chance to at least be in on it a little. Parts will suck, yes, but it will definately be an adventure. And if nothing else, I'll get very good at golf!
