i am leaving in under an hour for peoria, il, which is about a 5 hour drive from cincinnati. we acquired order of st. francis healthcare (OSF), and have trained some of their reps to take calls, so i will essentially be floorwalking for them monday through about 11 am on thursday. they needed someone super last minute and they asked me...i am flattered, since it's a big deal, as all the other people who have gone out there are big leaders in our contact center, but also really, really nervous. :(
i have never driven so far by myself! the most i have driven by myself is about a 4 hour drive to PA, when greg was interning there one summer. even then, after the drive, i had greg to spend time there. here, there will be no one i know. just me! i know, people travel for business all the time, but i'm still super nervous. plus, there is a flood warning in peoria, so i will certainly be driving in the rain for a good portion of it. fortunately, my rental car is a sweet chevy malibu, so i'm set there. i just hate knowing not what to expect, you know?
please keep positive thoughts out there for me! i know it's kinda silly to be so nervous, but i can't help it.
