quick update- tori amos concert
so i actually have a few things to do at work this afternoon- i'll make this a quick update. tori amos was amazing, as expected. laura and i were plagued with problems and were concerned at one point about not being able to go, but the sun shined through and down to louisville we went.
i won't post a full on review because 1) i don't have time and 2) only about 4 people will really care, but the highlights of the night were definitely hearing "doughnut song," "spark," and "hey jupiter" (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). our seats weren't the best (row V), so my pictures didn't come out too well, but at least i have documentation. :) she played a lot of random, unexpected songs too, like "juarez" and "spacedog." per usual, she was energetic and dynamic and definitely put on a good show.
laura and i staked out the venue after the show in an attempt to meet her. turns out, she signed autographs for people before the show. BOO! however, after about an hour of stalking and talking to other fans, we saw her get into a van....AND SHE WAVED AT US!!! haha...i blew her a kiss and freaked out. laura had the guts to yell something, too, which made her laugh. :)
so now i am here, tired from the drive (louisville is just under 2 hrs from cincinnati, yuck), and i am working second shift this week so i will be here tonight. :-\ bleh. onto prepare for class this week....
