(no subject)
Just a quick post because I am pretty exhausted and have some family over...
Work was cut short today thanks to a HUGE thunderstorm, go figure. Sunday's are my favorite days to work because our boss Dave doesn't work and neither does Crystal, the equally annoying asst. manager. Plus, Sunday's are always low as far as patrons go. It was nice an easy. I stayed after for a little to help with chores but then I just started to feel not so good :-( So I just left.
Jim called tonight!!! I was so excited! He sounds good; asked us to send him applesauce, fruit cups, and a picture of Mom. I got some photos copied Friday to send him and just put them all in a photo-mailer along with a letter. He got the care package, too! He [and his roomates] loved it! I am so glad! ;-) His roomates supposedly think my sister and I are "soooo hot!" too, which makes me laugh. :-P I have a whole crapload of stuff for Jim in his next care package...I just need to bake the brownies and find a box big enough!
Last night was fun - Sushi Yama was soooooo yummy! I even had leftovers that I ate for lunch today too. Spring rolls are awesome; californai rolls and kojo maki are delicious. After sushi, we went over to Fano's and it ended up being a pretty fun night. We played a number of games of flip cup and one round of Up-and-Down the River; I had 2 actual beers and a cup of Jim Beam and coke. There was some guitar playing going on too - my friend Nick is awesome, but of course, my brother is the best! ;-) Everyone ended up in the pool too, and I do mean EVERYONE! Boys in boxers was so funny; I obviously kept all of my clothes on (jeans and all) as did most of the other girls that were thrown in. My friend Chris got me...I kind of saw it coming but was caught off guard because he didn't charge at me right away and I was inside the house when he got me. I got home and into bed around 3-something am. Fun times with the LG's!
Work again tomorrow...blah blah blah. There's LG bowling tonight but I just don't think I am going to make it. As much as I'd like to, I just don't think it's gonna happen. I am ready to craaaaaash.
