Red Wine and Laughter ! !
The weekend is far from over, but I have had so much fun and relaxation it could stop right now and I would not mind at all.
Saturday
Woke up at 9.30am due to people moving round the house. Oh well, I got enough sleep.
Sat on the PC till 6pm downloading MP3's. Mainly Goo Goo Dolls and Counting Crows. Then I set Jamiroquai downloading for Lew, rare songs and mixes. I have also set 6 albums downloading for Ian. I feel like a music shop. I have managed to burn 11 CD's for myself first though. :)
Then I went to pick Lewis up so we could go to Angela's for dinner.
The Dinner Party
Me and Lew arrived at 7.30ish to find Angela in the kitchen with Matt, only just thinking about starting to cook.
After some laughter and piss taking, she confessed that she had no idea how to cook the food or what she wanted to do. Being clever women we managed to get the guys cooking all the food while we sat upstairs chatting. Frequently we would pop down to check on progress.
I even had to drive to my mothers to get a good frying pan and olive oil for the steak. It was such a funny sight, Matt feverishly trying to come up with an idea for cooking the potatoes and Lew cooking the steak. I couldn't help but offer advice on how to cook it. LOL I think he thought I was patronising him, but I just don't know how good a cook he is and I am very pedantic when it comes to the kitchen.
However the whole meal was stunning, with profiteroles for dessert, supplied by me. Any good dinner guest knows to bring dessert and wine with them. This rule I adhered to, only to be a good guest of course hehe.
Friendship and Laughter
Lew has been quiet in our relationship, with some outbursts of humour. I have tried to bring him out of his shell so that he will relax with me and show his true colours for what they really are. Matt brought out the best in Lew last night, he had me laughing all night. Between the four of us, we managed to laugh for 80% of the time.
Laughter is the best drug for you, I feel great this morning, and more happy than ever with Lew. We work well together, creating a team, harmony!
Angela and I are on a very similar wavelength, as I am with all my close friends, these people bring out the best in me, and hopefully they will keep bringing out the best in Lew.
Comfort
Neither me nor Lew are 100% ourselves with each other, not that we hide who we are, but humour can be a dangerous thing. Too vulgar, cut too deep etc. etc. I however am open minded and open to all forms of humour. I can't help it I love to laugh, its just a relaxation thing, when me and Lew get to know each other better I am sure we will laugh all the time, I know we will.
Sunday
Today I have spent the morning making hand made Mother's Day cards to sell in work. They are hard work to make and taking a while, but definately worth it. I just need some extra cash. Utility bills fromt he house have come to over £300 that I now have to find, add to this the fact that the estate agents are not giving me my bond back! :( You could say that living in that house was the worst move I ever made. From a financial point of view I got screwed from all angles.
Oh well you live and learn. Back to making more cards I suppose.
