quarantined..
i haven't updated in forever. no one else does anymore either though. eh.
my school is like being quarantined right now. we're not actually, but they had to close down our dining halls to like resanitize, every activity was cancelled this weekend (and it was parents weekend, so it was a lot), and the school is closed until at least Tuesday at 8am. all academic buildings are on lockdown and cannot be accessed. we have been encouraged to wash our hands often and to clean all of our laundry and linens. in one dorm alone over 80 students are sick. apparently like 1/3 of hope (so like 1000 students-ish) is infected with the norovirus. we bought lysol that kills the norovirus and have been spraying ourselves every time we come in and out of our apartment, and knock on wood, none of us are sick yet. but since classes are cancelled on monday and tuesday i dont' have class or work, i'm peacing out and heading home to avoid the plague. it's insane.
it also sucks because no large groups are allowed (by michigan law) right now and cops are like out patrolling because the virus is starting to spread outside of Hope into the community. it's like out of a movie or something. we've been watching tv for hours because there is nothing to do and we're supposed to stay in our rooms. it's kind of crazy. even the CDC is here trying to figure out what caused the outbreak haha
i figured i would go home to escape the virus and even if i do get sick, i figure that way my mommy can take care of me and i won't have to worry about infecting my roommates :)
