Everyone I know is freaking out about Pete Doherety getting arrested for having .08 grams of coke on him because most people I know can end up with this much coke on them without realizing it pretty easily. The biggest concern so far is finding it on your keys. Even people who don't actively participate can end up with that much coke on their keys from lending them to someone who needs to do a bump. Also with the amount of drugs I've seen at some of these after hours I'm pretty sure you can end up with .08 grams of coke just from being around it for a couple of hours. Another common fear amongst alot of people is that when going through airport security, you can pretty easily forget that you have drugs on you from left over from some other nights and not realize it. Having a tiny bag with with even just remnants in it is obviously going to be a problem if they find it. I figure they probably found almost empty bags of drugs on Pete and that's how they were able to arrest him.

I really don't think any of us should be too worried about any of this. I doubt anyone is going to go checking your clothes and keys ect even at the airport. I'm pretty sure they were specifically after Pete. They were probably just trying to arrest him and looked for anything they could find. So you would sort of have to be famous for being on drugs or be selling a large amount of drugs for them to take a particular interest in you. I'm pretty sure anyone in New York can be arrested if they actually went to look for .08 grams of anything.
