almost surprised I haven't seen you in an airport...newscaneJuly 18 2007, 00:41:32 UTC
My summer so far: 5/31-6/4: San Diego 6/8: Charlotte. Was supposed to go to Minneapolis for a wedding on 6/9, but CLT-MSP was cancelled, and by the time they would get me to MSP, I was going to miss the wedding. Flew home that night, got my ticket refunded. Wound up getting a voucher which I'm trying to use for a trip to Cincy (see below), but that's proving harder than it should be. 8/9-8/15: DC then Albany, NY 8/21-8/23: Cincy 8/29-9/4: Seattle/THE GORGE! 9/11: Gainesville 9/15-9/16: West Palm Beach
I'm guessing you can figure out what's behind most of these trips...

Gorge, yes, it sells out pretty quick. I don't think many other shows are sold out at this point.
I'm definitely more of a fan of the older stuff than the newer stuff. Everyday pretty much sucks. Busted Stuff... Lilywhites were better. Stand Up is okay... kinda. The new songs from last summer were good.

we had the WORST airline drama on the florida trip. my flight was delayed about three hours, getting me into FLL at midnight. but matt's flight on thursday got delayed, delayed, CANCELED. then they put him on an early flight to west palm on friday, but he missed it because of long lines, and he had to wait till the 4PM. and west palm is an hour from my place. the poor baby was traveling and airport-bound for 24 hours.
i heart seattle, i wish i'd done more in my time there. i just went to albany and it was awesome. we're talking about going to cincinnati for a reds game (we wanna do the stadium tour of the US! we're up to 7 so far), but i think we're gonna settle for cleveland (indians!) and a weekend at cedar point. matt bought us tickets to the park for our anniversary. :)
i really wanna go to gainesville at some point in my life... my brother went once for a UF game and said it was amazing!

Delta's screwed me over a few times, but I keep flying them because they're normally pretty good, and I like the fact that I often get a 767 for the 45 minutes to Atlanta :) Do you have Medallion-level status?
BTW, I discovered this site the other day: http://www.flightmemory.com I spent a good bit of time last night adding my flights from the last few years... and I have many more to go :)

yeah, silver medallion. i'm always THISCLOSE to gold! but i get upgraded on pretty much all my eligible flights, which i love. they're usually pretty decent, but this past trip was just ridiculous!
i've flown over 100K miles over the past two years because of work... i don't think i have the time to put in all those flights! :)

You should just make a mileage run to get gold :) Upgrades are nice -- I wound up in first class on my way home, after US Airways screwed me in June. My first time in first! But I am flying first class to Seattle, thanks to miles!
