This past Saturday I went to see a play called This Is Our Youth with Emily.
I had seen posters all over church street for it and it sounded like something I'd like. However, the biggest reason I wanted to go was that Katherine Isabelle was one of the cast members. Katherine Isabelle played Ginger in the movie "Ginger Snaps". Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE this movie and it's sequel and prequel.
Anyways, I thought it was pretty cool that I'd get to see her in the flesh on the stage in front of me. Especially when I saw how small the theatre was. What I didn't expect was that I'd get to MEET her after the show.
Emily and I were out back of the theatre after the play was over and we were deciding if we were gonna hang around to try and see the actors. Emily pointed out this guy who we overheard saying he worked on a movie with her in Montreal and we saw that he had all these things tha tshe had autographed for him. Now, I probably would have said "screw it" and left but then we saw one of the guys from the play sitting on a bench across from us. Emily was like "I'm going inside" so I followed. i walked in the door, looked up and there she was, standing like 5 feet away.
I waited patiently because other people were getting her autograph aswell. They finished and she was about to leave and I said "excuse me" she turned around and it was like "whoosh". I all of a sudden got really nervous. I asked her to sign my program and she did. I thanked her and was about to leave when Emily spoke up and said "Could O take your picture?". She said "sure" and we got all close for it. I had all this stuff in my hands so I asked Emily to hold it and when I held it out to her I was shaking REALLY badly and just Emily to take 'em so she wouldn't see but she probably did. I told her I liked her shoes, she said thanks and giggled, Emily took the pic and that was it.
So yeah, I was floatin' around on a cloud for the rest of the day.
