To give one's life for a cause...
is different from giving up one's life for a 'shitty' cause. Such people are a mere waste of oxygen. To commit suicide just because things arent going your way or because somebody somewhere is not lending an ear to your whims and fancies is no better than the misguided tantrum of a 5yr old who wants a new toy. Its a cowardly pathetic wimpish act.
If you really believe in the cause and decide to fight for it, the first thing you need to realize is you 'must' put your life on the line. A wise and brave person will put his life on the line to achieve what he wants. But do not confuse this with giving up on your life to achieve it. It's not 'I'll kill my self to achieve it', but 'I'll try every way I can to achieve what I want (apart from throwing away my life) and if I die trying then so be it'. This kind of ideology and determination is something to be looked up to. On the other hand cowardly people, who shy away from the struggle and simply take the easy/cowardly way out and kill themselves or worse, put other people's lives in danger. Are not to be admired but rather despised! This mentality won't set anything in motion.
To set the gears of change in motion you need to put your heart and soul into it. To gain something precious you need to give something equally precious in return, and still have the courage to live and fight through it all.
Nothing will change for people who don't know how to bring about change.
P.S. Tear gas is so gyabo! My head still hurts. I guess I'll have to sleep it off, hmpf! @_# Bio-weapons are worse than the devil.
P.P.S. I got a couple of lovely books today! Ruskin Bond <3!! Two bought and Two borrowed!!
