GAMES: I finished the story missions in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Aaaaaaand.... the ending was lame. again. Usually after I finish a game's story, I rush back in to finish all the other stuff I hadn't gotten to yet, but.... truth be told, I'm pretty Assassin's Creed-ed out at this point.
I mean, aside from the 1.5 months or so I spent immersed in Red Dead Redemption, I've been playing an AC game pretty much every day since ACIII came out in November. Think it might be time to put down the hidden blade for a while, or at least until ACIV comes out. :-D
And that's ok, because I found THIS GAME on Xbox Live Arcade!!!
It's BIT.TRIP RUNNER 2!!!! I was the OBSESSED with the original Bit.Trip Runner on WiiWare back in the day. Got a Perfect on EVERY. LEVEL. And this one's even better!!! So now I'm trying to get a Perfect on every level in this game, too. >:D
Anyway, do yourself a favor and download the free trial of this game (which is also available on PS3 and Wii-U, fyi). You will end up loving it, and you will likely end up purchasing it. When you do, quickly beat the first few levels so you can unlock Unkle Dill as a playable character. Because I mean, come on. Just look at him. He's the best.
FITNESS: Yeah, buddy! Still chugging along with my C25K training. Today was Week 6, day 2. I've found I can actually run twenty minutes at a time without stopping. yay! I ran while listening to Mission 7 of Zombies, Run!, and the story gets better and more enjoyable the more I do it. Love this app.
One thing I DIDN'T love was the problem of sweat getting into my eyes while I ran. It really hurts!! So RooG and I went to the sagyougi-ya, which is a store where you can buy tools and stuff, and also clothes for construction workers to wear while I'm on the job. RooG wears one of these towel do-rags every day at work and swears by them, so I got one too.
Do I look like a huge doofus wearing one? YES! Do I care? hell NO, because worrying about sweat dripping into my eyes is now a thing of the past and I can run in (relative) comfort. yay!
I'm really gettin into this whole running thing, thanks to Zombies, Run!
https://www.zombiesrungame.com/ and
Podrunner. I know it's still a ways away, but in November in Chiba there's gonna be something called the
Sweets Marathon, where instead of drinks at the aid stations, there are mini desserts. :-O Doesn't that sound like the awesomest thing ever???? :-O
But RooG was immediately like NO I DON'T WANNA DO THAT THAT SOUNDS STUPID. ;__; Maybe I'll just go by myself.... but it's still a ways away, so I have plenty of time to find a running buddy, and/ or convince RooG to do it with me. ;)
PICDUMP: Check out this awesome pencil case! I'm so happy it's mine.
Pina the parakeet finally conquered his fear of the carpet!
and I splurged on one of these fancy-schmancy macarons from France. Pierre Lauduree, I think. It was like $3, and upon eating it, I didn't feel ripped off! It was rich and delicious. Might have to explore this macaron thing further...
Currently watching: current seasons of Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and Tabatha Takes Over, as well as season 7 of CSI: NY on Hulu. all are GRATE! Can't wait till next week's episode of GoT.... D-:
