I was listening, like REALLY listening to the Yama song "Akari wo Kesu Mae Ni" when it came up on iTunes, and I listened, REALLY listened to the lyrics for the first time, and they were so sad it felt like a punch in the gut. :/ Yamaaa~~~

Also, yesterday in Voyage, the lowest-level group lesson, the topic was "Checking in and out of a hotel." Behold this real exchange between my two students Rei and Chikara:

C) I'd like to check in, please.
R) Ok. That's one hundred dollars.
C) Do you accept credit cards?
R) No. We only accept traveler's checks.
C) Oh. But, I only have credit cards.
R) Then...... washing dish.
C) Ok.
R) Thank you. Here is your room key.
C) What number is room?
R) Room number is zero.
C) Oh. Where is it?
R) Outside.
C) Oh, I see. Can I borrow your bed?
R) No.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gotta say, it's moments like these that I just LOVE my job!! LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!!!
