Thank you for the warm welcome guys!!
I've just had a quick flip through past enteries and I think i'm gonna love it in here!
Knitting - check!
Crochet - check!
Coffee Addict - CHECK!
So prefect community really! lol

Archerpren - Thank you!! I've just had a look at your CAL project! Great idea! Probably not the right place to ask this but how big should the block be?! And do we all send out finished things to one person to be put together?! Forgive me - i've never participated in a CAL before! Sounds fun though!
My block measures....finding ruler.... 27 x 19 inches (69x48cms). I followed a stencilling tutorial for photoshop to bring the picture down to 4 colours, then fed it through an online pattern generator -_^
I would LOVE to share it with you!!!
I've had an overwhelming response to this piece and would LOVE to see everyone have a Harry of their own!
I'll be writing up the pattern this wkend row-by-row and will post links for you as soon as it's up -_^
I used the cheapest 8-ply I could find! I should point out that i'm in Australia, so not sure about size conversion for other countries 0_o
I recently became friends with the girl who made that Harry blanket! Bloody amazing wasn't it!
I'm 'Totallee' on Ravelry! Please feel free to come find me and i'll return the favour!

SQUEEEEEE!!!!!! We're so glad you joined our wonderful community!!

On the CAL, the blocks are 12 x 12 inches. I'll post 1 pattern on the last day of each month for a year. The first post will be this friday for Harry's birthday. Then at the end of the year you'll have 12 & I'll post how I put mine together & added borders & such. AND this lovely afghan is yours, you can do with it what you want. You just pick your favorite house colors to make the blocks & by the time we get to Harry's birthday next year, you'll have a completed blanket. I'm personally planning on doing each of the house colors for every pattern, that way I'll have 48 blocks at the end. The clever archerpren suggested we design a block that says "StarKnuts KAL/CAL" to add to the blanket for a total of 49 blocks making the layout 7 x 7. The most magical number in our favorite world!! So I'm working on that block & I'm using the knit pro site http://www.microrevolt.org/knitPro/ to figure it out. What pattern generator did you use?

And THANK YOU for working on the Harry block!! It's phenominanal!!

I'm going over to ravelry right now to add you. I'll be hermionejean!!

YAH!!!!
That looks like an excellent site. I'm gonna have to check it out when I have more time.

Can't wait to see Ron. I'm wondering what Mr. Potter up there would look like with a limey green background. Green is my favorite color. I'm gonna have to order some more yarn. :D
