Wedding things.

I went and looked at some reception places today.

I went to Furnace Run a few days ago and looked at the pavilion there, but it looks kind of small. You can only have 100 people in it, and there wouldn't really be room for a dance floor. Unless we made the little patio a dance floor. Furnace Run also has a lake there so we could get married by the lake and then have our reception right there.

Pros:
1. The lake
2. Really pretty in September because everything is in bloom *trees*
3. Easy for everyone to find

Cons:
1. Small location
2. No alcohol
3. Have to rent out chairs for an outdoor ceremony.
4. Can't put tape or tacks on or in the walls.

Then today I went to Goodyear Heights Metro Park today. This place can fit 150 in one side and 50 in the other.

Pros:
1. It's bigger
2. Nice windows
3. Sound system

Cons:
1. We'd need to rent out 2 rooms, so it may feel a little separated.
2. No alcohol- but the ranger said they kind of turn their head the other way about champagne...
3. The lobby is still open to the public. (because there are bathrooms in the lobby)
4. I don't know if it has enough room even though it is bigger than Furnace Run.

^ The outside

^ The big room where we would have the food and main seating.

^ The second room for dancing.

And, we could also rent a tent/chairs for an outdoor reception.

Then we went and looked at this place called Houston Hall. It looked kind of run down on the outside, but it was nice on the inside.

Pros:
1. The guy who owns it, owns Charlie's in Norton.
2. Open Bar
3. It's really pretty inside when it is all decorated.
4. Can bring in your own food.

Cons:
1. It's really expensive. $750
2. It kind of smells funny.
3. It's reallllllly expensive.
4. It's got that date reserved for another party that day- but that may change.

sorry, no pictures.

Then we talked to him about The Copley Community Center. Which is HUGE. It holds I think he said 250.

Pros:
1. Big dance floor and lots of seating.
2. Near by.
3. Open bar.

Cons:
1. Even more expensive than Houston Hall.
2. Have to use their catering.

Sorry, no pictures of this either.

So the hunt continues.

He gave me a brochure of Copley. They have an outdoor pavilion that holds 200 and is enclosed and has an open bar. I'm going to look into it, but I'm pretty sure that is going to be expensive from the look at the prices on Houston Hall.
