It was actually pretty common for all of the lights to go out, but usually, after Tony Stark tripped a breaker or caused a fire or crashed into something in the R & D level of the Avengers Tower, the emergency lights came back on. But not today. And that was a shame because he was almost sure he'd perfected grilled cheese without Pepper Potts complaining about the heat of the skillet or the amount of butter he was using.
Probably because he wasn't using a skillet. Or butter. And Pepper was out of the country being a fantastic CEO at a conference in Japan.
