"So I'm going against that cocky girl," Tidus mused to himself before stepping into the arena. He had known better than to not expect much when he had witnessed her fight before. After all, Rikku hadn't been the strongest, but she could be fast and lethal if she wanted. Yuffie seemed similar that way, better even, and he figured he'd have to avoid a lot of annoying sharp pointy objects for this new round.

He was glad to know his opponent would possibly be a challenge to his speed and agility, but he was set on winning. Bouncing the liquid like sword in his hand, he smirked at the girl. "I won't go easy on you!"

Yuffie stepped into her corner and took a long moment to stretch her muscles. This guy might not look like the sharpest tack in the box, but that wicked glint to his sword promised to more than make up for that.

She flashed a lazy smile his direction, this promised to be more than a little fun. "Back atcha, Blondie!"

While Yuffie stretched her muscles, Tidus moved in place with anxious, determined energy. Yuffie looked shorter than he remembered. Either she was really good, or she was about to be really defeated. With what she had shown before, he doubted it would be the latter. He snorted at the blondie comment and took a second to cast Haste on himself, and sprinted at his opponent.

"I wouldn't want you to!"

There's nothing quite like a blond with a long sword running at you to really keep you on your toes. Yuffie was fully aware that her normal tactic: run and dodge until her enemy was worn down, wouldn't work here. In fact, she wasn't sure if Tidus's battery ever ran out.

The only way to win this would be to end it quickly. She jumped into the air, soaring easily over his head and flicked a shuriken at him in warning. Best to test the wolf before you tried to grapple him by the teeth.
