She was in a new place that she had never been to before, a place that looked different, a place that looked so... cute!
Lizzie just couldn't help but stare at the moogle that had come to her. It looked so cute and nothing like she had seen before at home. She had to wonder where she could find something like this, or curious to know just what they were. She leant in slightly, taking a closer look, noticing it wasn't wearing anything. Well this had to change, it could look a lot cuter than it was looking right about now.
So she clapped her hands together once, a smile on her face and a cheery persona appeared, she had completely forgotten about the zombies she had been facing before she arrived here.
"You look so cute~ How about we find you something to make you look ever better?" Lizzie smiled, trying to think up ways to make the creature even more cute than it looked right now, but the moogle didn't show any expression as Lizzie managed to start walking off, happily thinking away for a moment. That was until she realized something that made her stop. Ciel wasn't here, last she remembered he had been with her when those corpses attacked them.
Was he still there without her? Lizzie didn't want to think about that, she didn't want to think that her fiancée was still on that ship with them. What's worse her family were on there to. Her mother, father, brother where all on there and that just made her worry even more. Lizzie stood there quietly before going to the floor, tears in her eyes as the thoughts of what has happened to them kept going through her head.
As the tears poured down her cheek, she went to wipe them away. She knew it wasn't lady like to cry in front of others the way she is doing, but she couldn't help it. For now all she could do was follow that Moogle to where ever it was going to and find out if Ciel, or even anyone she knew was around and take this heavy weight off her shoulders. So with that mission in mind, she once again wiped her eyes, standing up and put on her best smile before starting off to find them.
All this stuff about "Darkness" was sure a lot to take in! And somehow, Jake was taking it in stride and keeping a pretty cool head about things. No doubt he was worried as hell about Fon and the others, but he seemed pretty confident they'd show up sooner or later.
In the midst of his wandering, a young lady caught his eye. She was crying and he honestly couldn't blame her. This was pretty scary and she looked so young...
Decidedly, Jacques stepped over with a friendly smile and decided to try and lend a helping hand. "Are you okay, Miss?" he offered, leaning his head to one side. Maybe it wasn't the best question under the circumstances, but it was a nice way to break the ice, he figured.
Lizzie hadn't been paying an awful lot of attention to what was going on around her, she was too into trying to find her fiancé who as of now still hadn't found. She had started to worry a lot when she heard something asking if she was okay.
Lifting up her head up slightly, she wiped her eyes. After all it wasn't very lady like to cry in front of a man, unless it was Ciel because she couldn't help it when she was around him. Putting on a smile she lightly held her dress and curtsied as a gesture of politeness and greeting.
Lizzie had dried her eyes and smiled, but the moogle floating by her and her clothes -- unusual for Traverse Town -- left a few clues for Aerith about her situation. Still, she looked faintly apologetic as she asked. This couldn't be easy for the girl.
She looked up from trying not to cry to much, crying was something you do alone in your room, not in front of people in the middle of town. The again, she always did cry in front of people, especially Ciel... who wasn't here that she knew of.
Sniffling slightly she nodded, answering the pretty ladies question.
... So she was crying. It didn't surprise Aerith at all given the circumstances.
"I'm Aerith, from Radiant Garden," she offered. One person was better than none, right? "I came to see what's going on." The smile on her face was steady as she looked briefly toward the main part of town, then back to the girl. "We're going to have to work really hard to fix this. But it can be fixed."
Lizzie started to wipe her eyes quietly for a moment. It seemed this lady was being help so she knew she had to be polite back, after all thats what a lady would normally do.
Placing her hands lightly on her dress, taking a grip and lifting slightly so she could curtsy politely. "My name is Elizabeth Middleford, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Why hadn't she brought tissue or a handkerchief? It seemed so obvious in retrospect, but Aerith had nothing on hand or in pocket -- she checked discreetly before catching the next thing Lizzie did, a bit surprised.
"You don't have to..." Oh, but the curtsy was already complete, even if it was a gesture for the King or Queen, not an ordinary girl like Aerith. They must have different customs where she came from. "Nice to meet you too, Elizabeth. Is there anything you need help with?"
Stella had been walking around the streets and getting more frustrated by the minute. Whoever or whatever had spelled her into this place was going to pay for it. Mark her words. The worst part was, that she couldn’t figure out how to leave. It had to be some high level magic to stop a Solarian Princess Okay… not really…. But she did think rather highly of herself and her abilities. The Solarian ring itself was created using the most powerful magical element in the entire universe.. STARLIGHT. It had to be stronger than most things.
Just as she was about to complain for the 50th time, she caught sight of the other blond in the costume. It was obviously that she’d been crying… oh this was kind of awkward but who really liked to see anyone so upset? Stella’s expression softened as she went over and placed a hand on the girls’ shoulder.
Lizzie had been searching for a bit, but so far no luck. She had started to give up hope on ever finding him in this town, this... new place she didn't even know anything about. Her mother wouldn't be happy if she saw her like this.
When someone put her hand on her shoulder, she turned her head, wiping her eyes with her gloves hand, before getting a better look at the person. Tp her eyes this girl was very pretty, but the outfit was something, someone shouldn't wear as it wasn't very ladylike in her eyes.
"I am, I don't even know where I am and I can't find Ciel." She paused for a moment. Maybe this girl would know where he was, she had to ask.
"Have you seen a young boy with an eye patch. He's my fiancé and I was last with him before I came here."
Despite the tears, the pitiable look in the girl's eyes, and the sob story the one thing that stuck out to Stella was, "FIANCE?!?!" She abruptly drew her hand back and gave Elizabeth an incredulous look, "You're like ten! How is it possible that you have a fiance and I don't!" As usual, Stella was missing the point.
Taking a deep breath she steadied herself and answered the initial question albeit with a haughty tone,"No, can't say I've seen the guy." Well, he did have an eyepatch so he was damaged goods; sour grapes. Folding her arms in front of her, she looked off to the side before looking back at Lizzie. "Where did you ever find such old fashioned clothes? Ever considered getting into.... the last century?"
Lizzie couldn't help but stare at the girl, how was she so surprised. Where she was from having a fiancé at her age was perfectly normal... if you were a noble of course. Although she didn't bring this up as the first thing she had to reply to, while pouting slightly was.
"I'm not ten, I'm nearly thirteen. It's also something that has been decided since I was very young." Her smiles had softly returned, thinking about it for a moment, that was until she realised she was talking to someone.
Lizzie looked down at her dress, once again a slightly annoyed looking face appears, this wasn't old fashioned. Not to her anyway. It was cute and of the latest style.
"I had these made for me to go on a trip. it's the latest fashion." Her eyes had started to wonder over the other girls clothes, clearly shocked at the short skirt. "You're not very lady like if you wear something like that."
"Whatever," She replied dismissively to her age. Asw far as Stella was concerned she was still a small fry. "Oooo so it's a betrothal then?" There were still some kingdoms that arranged marriages so that wasn't so strange after all. Still, she was such a little kid.
Noticing how this girl looked when she spoke about her fiance... made her smile. "You must really like the guy too." She gave Lizzie a playful nudge.
"In what century?" It sounded rude but by this point Stella was genuinely curious. The short skirt, and exposed midriff were too much for her? There's was one thing Stella really prided herself on and that was fashion. "Not very .. lady like..?"
For a moment she just stared at Elizabeth," I'll have you know, that you are speaking to the crown princess of Solaria..." There she went again... but she didn't really want this conversation to go in a negative direction any longer. "Though-- it is a bit outside of your age group."
