Absolutely fed up with the treatment he's gotten so far in this bizarre world filled with magical nightmare duckies and spooks, Kotetsu rushed towards the Pride Lands via gummi ship to track down the thief who stolen his hat. While he was placed on patrol here at the Pride Lands earlier by King Mickey himself, this was the first time he stepped foot in this land. Rushing off the ship as fast as his legs could carry him, Kotetsu noticed something different about himself automatically.

"Eh? What?" Why is everything seem so much bigger than him now? He might be a few inches shorter than Barnaby, but Kotetsu was close to six feet one. However, he felt like he was a tad smaller now.

"Am I sick or somethin'?" He pondered, not at all noticing the long yellow and black striped tail that trailed after him.

Well, that was certainly interesting. Though if he had known about this before hand, he might not have volunteered his time and aid. Walking out of the ship and onto the world was something of an equally interesting experience due to the way his perceptions abruptly changed. Looking back over himself as he noted the change, he noted silently that he also had ended up in a feline form but lacking in the stripes that Kotetsu bore.

Sephiroth took a moment to get his bearings and once adjusted to the shift in gravity as well as weight changes, he moved to sit down in front of the tiger. "Does anyone know just where this tree our thief is nesting in is exactly? Or is it up to us to try searching for it without alerting him to the fact we're looking for him until it's too late for him to flee?"

Still rather curious about his sudden change in height, suddenly a large silver lion stalked over to him. "OH MY GOD!" Kotetsu nearly jumped out of his skin/fur when the lion wandered over. His first instincts were to flee, that is until the lion actually spoke to him. "...huh?" Peering closely at the lion, Kotetsu's eyes grew as large as saucers once he realized who it was.

"S-Sephiroth?!" There's no mistaking it! Those abnormally jade hued eyes could only belong to one man or rather beast. "How did you---is this a trick?! Did someone use magic on you?" It seems that Kotetsu still had no idea that he was a talking yellow and black striped tiger now. In fact, he hadn't even bothered to look at himself after arriving in the Pride Lands. The silly goof was so wrapped up in the thought of the catching that stupid crow; that he forgotten all about the Pride Lands' affect on humans.

"How did you become a lion, sir? You look kinda funny."

Well at least this was a bit of a change of atmosphere from whatever was going on in Radiant Garden. Despite the commotion created by Hades, it didn't stop her from pursuing the one possession she held very dear to her. Even if it meant traveling with two strangers, one of which she seen and the other who ... felt like an idiot ... all that mattered was retrieving her necklace from the culprit that dared to steal it.

What she wasn't expecting was to immediately find herself shrinking upon stepping out into the open plain setting. From her viewpoint on the ground, the sight of two gigantic felines speaking made her freeze in terror. It took only a second, however, to realize that these felines were in fact .. the people she traveled with. "Wait, what happened? Why did you guys change?" She asked, unaware that the transformation had turned the teenage sorceress into a tiny little fledgling of a white bird.

"It would appear to be a characteristic of this world. If you'll look at yourself, you'll find you have also changed." Though really, it was interesting that the girl had turned into a bird instead of a feline. He wondered just what decided one's form here. Though if this eco-system was anything like the one on Gaia, it might be best for the girl to use of of them for transport rather than trying to follow them on her own.

Approaching toward her, Sephiroth laid down before her; his eyes resting on her as he spoke again, quieter this time now due to how close he was now. "It might be best if you rode one of us during our time here. I wouldn't want one of the natives here to decide you might make them a decent dinner."

Meanwhile, Kotetsu was staring at his new fuzzy tail in shock. The tiger had no idea what to think of his new form, especially since he never imagined himself with real tiger stripes on him. Baiting at his tail with his paw, Kotetsu paused suddenly. "Eh?" He sniffed the air a few times before scrunching up his nose in disgust.

"This place smells like a trash heap!" Kotetsu commented rudely as he covered his wide nose with his paws. "I know we're supposed to be animals and all but this is kinda gross." Fussing to himself about the hideous scents he could pick up, Kotetsu froze once again once he spotted a few birds in the distance.

"Shouldn't we get going? I doubt our thief is going to wait forever for us to catch him."

And somewhere in that distance, there is a tree, one of the few in the world. It has a beautiful view of Pride Rock and, really, quite a bit of the Pride Lands. And perched on that tree is a small bird with a blue headband, sitting happily eating a worm. If he weren't a bird he'd probably be so grossed out by it. But, as a crow? Nope.

This, he thought. This is what it's like to be free and not worry about cops! Or authorities, or bein' hungry all the time...

He let out a little caw as he thought of his friends. No - his nakama. They'd separated a while back. Would they want to be with him? He didn't know. He missed them, but after what happened...and then the Darkness came. He really did have nothing. Just his freedom, and this crow form, here.

But, he could forget, right? Besides, he knew no one would come looking for him. No one even knew he was here.

Once the initial shock of seeing herself transformed wore off, Rinoa gave a tiny nod and hopped over to perch on the top of massive feline's head. "This is a little weird." Rinoa mumbled incoherently, then hid somewhere just behind Sephiroth's left ear while peering out into the distance. This world apparently decided to give her the short end of the stick when it came to appearances. While Sephiroth and Kotetsu sat high and mighty on top of the food chain, she arrived as their optional snack.

Fairness aside, this gave Rinoa a bit of an advantage over both of them. Since the culprit was also a bird, retrieving the stolen possessions would be a little easier. Well, almost easier. They were perfectly capable of climbing, but neither of them could fly. Her head stretched upward as she studied the flock of animals seen in the distance, the sight of birds in the distance immediately drawing her attention. "Over there!"

Sephiroth turned his attention to the birds in the distance and set about into a steady ground eating lope toward them, trusting that Kotetsu had enough sense to follow suite. He had to admit that traveling in this form had its definite benefits, speed and ease of running being but the most obvious.

Once a certain landmark made itself known on the horizon though, he slowed his pace down, and then eventually came to a halt as he looked over the scenery up ahead and around them.

"I think we're close, I recognize the rock formation up ahead from the footage."
