(no subject)
I am updating and checking my email while sitting on a rock outside the barn in South Dakota. It is FUCKING hot here. I have been informed it has been fucking hot, at home as well.
This year we can steal wireless from the people that live full time on-site but shhh...don't tell. (: However, this has been my first experience, and I had like 80 freaking emails where I learned that the job I was planning on paying my rent is no longer paying me $350 a month, but $200 a month. LAME ASS.
So now I have no freaking idea what I am going to do. maybe I can get highered as a deskworker to supplement.
anyway South Dakota is amazing. I am fitting in well with the new people as well as enjoying my friends from last year. The two families I had last week were awesome. Lots of fun stories. We got our assignments for next week and I actually get to have Tangled Blue!!! (The musicians for next week, and like my fav Christian band EVER) Plus I get to have a family with a 2 y/o and a 7 y/o so that should be awesome!!
I got the most amazing sunburn and am having trouble moving and pretty much want to die, but other than that I am loving every moment and really connecting to the people, the families and feeling a part of a ministry once again. I really really love it. I wish I had the whole summer next year so I could be the Assistant Program Director....but that damn Europe Tour is just in my way...gosh.
I hope everyone at home is doing well...I've been able to check in with my mom every now and then, I'll be home on Friday!
