A week ago, the car died in front of The House, so even though I'm Out, I had to spend the next several days there simply because I didn't have transportation. It was so weird, for it to quit the way it did, and when and where it did. Not going to try to figure that one out. Anyway, car is now Fixed (yay - and many thanks to my benefactor) and I am again 25 miles north at a friend's house.Typing this on my "new" ASUS notebook. I had said I wanted to get a Surface, but I had only told that to one person. This was a complete surprise. So, I am grateful and thankful and I have a small computer to play with and keep up with everyone on Facebook and here. I know the car isn't great, but I'm already thinking of the places I can now go to - like Tupperware meetings and stuff like that. The Lord giveth and He taketh away.
Later today (since it's after midnight) I will go to Annapolis again and hopefully the last of the tax issue will either be resolved, or the light at the end of the tunnel will become that much brighter. I may yet have to seek the services of an attorney; it depends on how much the Comptroller's Office will try to jerk me around. I hate government bully departments. Why doesn't everyone see that our current tax situation is sanctioned extortion?
Anyho, to connect with the subject line - it was much easier to leave this time. This time, there are more possibiities and the road ahead is more defined than it was two weeks ago. I still want my cats, and I will see them from time to time as I go to pick things up and get them out; but the ache is gone.
I'm going to be fine. So will he.
