aquarium death

Last week, Mr Pink died. I named him after Steve Buscemi's character in Resevoir Dogs, and then translated it to Thai (as he was a Siamese Fighting Fish) - Nai Chompoo. I had him for about 2 years. I recently upgraded his tank to a 3 gallon with a biological filter, so he could have some roommates. I purchased two African Dwarf Frogs. And tonight, as I went to switch off the tank light, I found one upside down on the bottom of the tank, dead. I just did a 25% water change earlier tonight. They were both alive and kicking them. The PH, ammonia level, and temperature are all fine on the tank. I don't know what happened, but I'm beginning to think that I'm not meant to have an aquarium.

I was really attached to Mr Pink, as he was my first pet, ever. I had a little fish funeral for him and buried him under my lemon tree.

ADFs can't really live alone, they're social critters. So if I don't want to kill Eddie of loneliness, I need to get another frog. Do I get another betta? I need to figure out why they died. I'm really really bummed about this.
