Vague Thoughts on Shipping (possibly biased) and Love to the people who make fandom such a wonderful place
I was thinking about Harry's newfound ( and very sexy, in my opinion ) attitude. He's gotten smartassed and has raised the bar on snarky. This is very good. He also needs someone who can throw his snarkiness back at him, and deflect some of his insensitive comments. Don't get me wrong, Hermione is a great source of attitude when called upon and has mastered the art of sarcasm to the fullest, but she seems strangely unwilling to send her attitude Harry's way. In fact, she tends to shy away from conflict with Harry. In OotP, almost all of Hermione's attitude seems to be directed towards Ron. I was thinking about the part of OotP when Harry is afraid he was possessed by Voldemort and that he attacked Arthur. Ginny showed she was not willing to put up with any of his crap and in the end resolved the issue and eased Harry's hyperactive guilt complex just a tad. She has proved herself to be clever, resourceful, and obstinate (which is some situations is fortunate). I think that Harry has found in her a powerful ally, although he is yet to realize this. Even if it's only as a friend, I think he needs Ginny around to help keep him in line.
