what it is that is new
we have a new flatmate, his name is mohammed. he's from bangladesh & really friendly, which is nice. he is so funny, he was talking to me about the promiscuity of new zealanders and the funny way they talk, doing a nz accent with a bangladesh accent, crazy. he said i don't have a very strong american accent, i think he means not southern. he wants to go to the usa sometime, but not until bush is out of office!
i think i forgot to mention a funny story. i went to see a nz comedian, jeremy elwood, and he asked if there were any americans in the audience, and i was the only one! so he was kinda making fun, and he asked, how long have you been here? a couple weeks, i said. he replied, welcome to a democracy, its nice isnt it?
i think nz and probably several other countries sort of depend on the usa for something to make jokes about and to rebel against.
i started my ceroc dance class on tuesday, its really fun! i tried to go to my hiphopdance class today but it was canceled! boo. will i ever learn to pop n lock?
i am pulling together resources to make a movie here. i've been in contact with a girl in my film class who has a camera, so hopefully that will work out! this place is so beautiful i really want to film in it.
i'm planning to post more pictures soon, so keep your eye out!
i've been eating a lot of chocolate. it is very good here. i will now go eat more.
