Before
reading this post, be warned that it definitely contains spoilers for last
night’s ep., and may contain spoilers for future S2 eps. SO TURN BACK NOW IF

Guilt over the fact that he'd warned her not to 'crush' House, and now he knows that House crushed her? Just my speculation.
Alternatively, maybe he sees a bit of himself in Cam, or rather, how he USED to be with patients, and now he feels bad for her or doesn't 'want to go back there' emotionally?
Because he was embarassed remembering something similar he did when he was first starting out?
Yeah, that's what I just said. Cookies for us both, heheh!
elling her that she had the right answer but she almost killed her patient because she wouldn't fight hard enough for it.
True, eh? I forgot about that.
Y'know, House, if you're going to screw Cam, just use your dick and get it over with, OK? This mind-fuckery is starting to stir up my long-buried homicidal urges....

Because he doesn't want her to grow up and leave 'the nest'? Because he sees her 'letting him go' as a rejection and wants payback? Because he's displacing the bulk of his anger with Stacy onto a safer target - Cam?
why is House even asking Stacy if he can trust her? The last two episodes detail at length just why he can't.
