My speculation as to how the team comes back together next season:
House is not doing well, but everyone assumes it's from the usual suspects: the loss of his team, the effects of the Vicodin on his system, etc. Then House collapses and they can't figure out why. Wilson calls Chase in to help, he eventually brings the others in to consult. Did House take the opportunity to get rid of his team because he knew something was wrong and knew from the brain cancer fiasco that they'd find out too soon?
