The First Day of band camp
It's kinda the hardest. we audiion for about 5 minutes ( I practiced for like a half hour before, but marching band theres no seats or positions, but I just wanted to get reaquianted with the Baritone) and then 2 hour sectional. and then a full block of a 2 hour playing only rehearsal. everyone comp;lains about summer chops but thats not a fair way to describe it for me today.
It is my own fault I didn't practice brass this summer (not that I had a euphonium but I coulda made due) but it's not Summer Chops. it feels like this.
I know how to read music, and finger the notes but I'VE NEVER PUT MY MOUTH ON ONE OF THESE BEFORE.
So you can imagine I'm a little tired in the lip department.
I also didn't get to see tghe LAST L:AST LAST episope of Six feet Under But my dad taped it. He will give it to Kr to watch, and she will send it to me along with 900 dollars and a lifetime supply of her New York Cheesecakes. I'll probably have to settle for the DVD, and maybe a nice note with a hand drawn picture but that will do.
tired and I have to eat breakfast at 7 tommorow, go to practice, which in the mornings is in a parking lot about 3 minutes uphill from the stadium, which is about 7 minutes uphill from my dorm. I'm starting to remember how I lost so much weight last year.
My roomate will also come tommorow I think. We'll see. Sorry for the typos and I miss you guys, B UT NOT VACAVILLE>
