So. I want an umbrella cockatoo really, really badly. Because the boyfriend will never have kids, an umbrella cockatoo will basically be my child.
Trouble is, they are expensive.
I'm going to start a cockatoo-savings fund, but with christmas just around the corner, I'll need to get creative about where this money comes from. I'll probably try my hand at e-bay, but I'm also going to take a big step and attempt to be artsy-crafty and sell my own creations.
I'll be selling whatever art I can find a buyer for. I'm (hopefully) going to follow the lead of some amazing and talented people (IE Jess, Catina, and the wife of one of my salesmen) and get into beading -- and hopefully start selling some stuff there. Etc., etc. I have a few other ideas.
In the meantime, I'm considering putting together a book of some of my poetry and prints of some of my mixed media art (both things in one book, if that makes any sense). A few people from Pathetic have told me they'd be interested in a book of my poetry, but I just wondered how many others might be interested in buying something like this if it were reasonably priced. (And what would you consider a reasonable price?)
Futhermore, if anyone has any other ideas for crafty, creative ways to make money (or wants to pay me for naked photos of myself, etc.) please share them. :)
