Politics The Second

Bush is so lucky to have Cheaney as his Vice-President.

I'd leave it at that, but of course I have more to say.

So I watched the Vice-Presidential debate last night, and I have to say I was impressed. I've always taken Cheaney for an asshole that just attacks everyone, but he actually did really well. I don't mind him too much. However, Edwards ( Read more... )

well i for one,am glad knowing we have people of your intellectual caliber in our government.
(just thought i would get that out of the way)

now,the "democarts" as you might call them are just one of the nations powers...the other major power being the republicans;now i ask you, which of these factions does our beloved(please note the sarcasm resident in the italics) leader belong to?

if you answered "democarts" then you my good friend, are a fucking idiot;because bush is a republican...our nations leader...the driving force behind out nation's political machine...is a republican;the house majority...republican;so it's very easy to see how the "democarts" aren't exactly in control;and they STARTED to gain majority rule when daddy bush was president;now that the "democartic" party is split;they have quite a stron footing in congress.

(congress+president=2/3 power...last time i checked thats all u need)

now their agenda isn't to direct the government;because they have been doing that for years now;it is more of a facade to pacify the american public and to assure them that they AREN'T fucking up the country (even worse) so we quit our bitching...this works because the majority of the american public either doesn't understand enough or doesn't care enough to notice or do anything past accepting their current reality.

and for a history buff i would have thought you would have more sense than to put "my view is flawed" because my view is mine;and mine alone, your bias says it's flawed because it doesn't adhere to your view,so you,in all of your infinite wisdom (and appearent lack of grammatical skills) say im wrong when in reality there is no right or wrong;no black or white;just how the eye beholds what it sees

and what i see,is a very corrupt, immoral, unethical, bipartisan machine driven on how much they can not only mislead america...but the rest of the world.

(think about this before you respond;because the more you retort the more you seem to be struggling to defend your point of view and tell me im wrong when im just trying to say "this is my view;believe what you want to" and you're being very american and trying to push your morals and beliefs on me and tell me im wrong...)

you have very small font which is hard to read. From what I can tell you seem to be one of those guys who hides in a cave and thinks the the FBI is there to get him. I know that bush is a rep[ublican and I know far more about the politcal sytem that the majority of people that I talk to. I have been observing it first hand for the past 15 years. Regardless I think that you still did not answer my question as to when teh republicans becamse the force behind the governemtn. Clinton was up against a conservative supreme court (still in power) and a conservative congress and managed to do quite well. The otther question I cautiously pose is what would you do differntly? Do you even vote? If you dont then you have lost your right to complain as far as I am concerned

I for one do not think the government is out to get me;i am insignificant in the grander scheme of things (right now anyways);and yes,i did answer your question,u seem to be missing what im saying;so to quote my previous response

you:"I ask you at what point did the republicans start running the governemtn. And also if they do run the show how come they have sucha ahrd time passing their agenda?"

me:" they STARTED to gain majority rule when daddy bush was president;now that the "democartic" party is split;they have quite a strong footing in congress.

(congress+president=2/3 power...last time i checked thats all u need)

now their agenda isn't to direct the government;because they have been doing that for years now;it is more of a facade to pacify the american public and to assure them that they AREN'T fucking up the country (even worse) so we quit our bitching.."

now...about me voting?
thats very difficult when you are only 17
and why shouldnt i have a right to complain regardless of wether i vote or not;if there are only 2 names on the ballot and i don't want either one of them;why waste my vote?

and as for what i would do differently?
there is alot
i would start with a better foreign policy,i would take a more active internation role in politics and not stay alone and say "hey U.N.,fuck you,we're gonna do what we want"
i would definitely rework the nations taxes so thay it was more favorable for the nation's genereal public (i.e. the people who AREN'T the richest 2%)

there is a great deal more i would do;but that shall come to light later if all goes well.

your solutions sound liek a carbon copy of the KErry PLatform. I think those are both good ideas but neither would free the governemtn of corruption. I have a good solution but it would take redoing the whole sonstitution. wanna hear it?

while in idea it does sound identical;i have given no specifics...what i would do (i believe) would be far different than what kerry would deliver;and i never said that what i would do would rid the government of all corruption, because to say that would be nothing but a blantant lie;there would need to be alot done to rid the government of corruption and it would never be 100%

and go for it;but the constitution is nothing but a piece of paper that can basically be burnt if the president were ever to initiate executive order #10990 or
Executive Order # 10995
Executive Order # 10997
Executive Order # 10998
Executive Order # 11000
Executive Order # 11001
Executive Order # 11002
Executive Order # 11003
Executive Order # 11004
Executive Order # 11005
Executive Order # 11051
Executive Order # 11310
Executive Order # 11049
Executive Order # 11921

sooo yeah;go for it.

ok simply put the money is the problem. He who can reign in the cash flow can stop the corruption. First thing to do would be to make it so that no representative or senator could vote for anythign that sends money to his state or district. they would have to convince everyone else that what they wanted was good enough for the whole country. Secondly to prevent vote trading limit the total number of votes tha they can cast a session therefore making it more importnat to be presnt for everythign and to hold your votes for things more worthwhile. That simple adjustment would help stem the domestic pork barrel shit that eats billions. As for foreign policy it should follow since the people runnign for office will not be poepl e who work for specail interests they will be more responsible to their constituants and therefore the country as a whole would haev better say over the policy of our nation.

attacking my patriotism is rediculous. I can say wht you want or you can move where you want or do what you want I cant stop you but appreciate what you have here or take your ass to russia and see how corrupt and unethical is can really be.

no;im not attacking YOUR patriotism;im attacking PATRIOTISM in general; patriotism is basically an excuse for ignorance;saying shit like "if u dont like it then leave" when if u look at the original "patriots" they didn't leave;they fought for change,so PLEASE don't give me that "im a patriot;go america;if u don't like it then leave" bullshit because that is one of the most pathetic things i've witnessed in my 17 years of existence.

and why would i goto russia?
holland,england,switzerland
those places are so much nicer...and so much less arrogant (especially england;because they learned first hand what it was like to fall flat on your face)

the problem with this whole thing is your defending the same country that would sell you out in an instant;you continue to argue and try to make me see that america really is this magical place where everything fits in and its all perfect...when the reality is far from that facade. Im not saying america is trash;just the people who run it and unfortunately this truth is inherent throughout all great societies in history.

=/

I think it is funnt hat you idolize England. Tony blair was asked why he though so highly of amerca and he said "llok how many poeple wanna get into amerca and look how amny poeple wanna leave" you wanna talk about arogance or sorruption how is hiding billoins in stolen gold for the Nazi's good job swiss people. I think tht you have a lot of time to learn as young as you are I once was told if you arent a liberal by the time you are 21 or conservative by 35 there is something wrong with you. I am glad that you seem to intersted in politics but I think you should observe the process even ona local level. Run for office. There is a seventten yer old girl runnign in some state I forget for mayor and is the from runner with write ins. Watch some Cspan, get out from behind your cloud of insufferable arrogance and come to washington. I will personally give you tour of the city and try to give you a chance to see how the goernment works. My point still stand that thought the origanl patriots fought I wouldnt recomend armed uprising, doesnt seem to go over well. I dont like your rone either. I am trying to have a nice peaceful discussion on ways to improve our nation and by assesing a score to it you clearly dont seem to share the feeling. We as citizens have an obligation to talk about this stuff but not the fight over it. that is rediculous.

lmao;funny....i dont remeber saying...or implying that i idolize england;i merely think its a better place to live than america is. yeah;the swiss have stolen nazi gold...gold stolen from the rest of europe;thats not much compared to the amount of funds funneled to and fro the american government and the drug trades of south america...or the oil pipelines thru afghanistan n such;but hey,you idolize america appearently, which is one of the most pompous yet common mistakes i see many make; i idolize no country;no governing body
why?
because there has always been...and always will be problems,my point is i would rather live in a country where the biggest beef is gold stolen and forgotten years ago than being misled on a day to day basis;being mentally corrupted and cut off from the rest of the world, etc. etc.

run for office?
yeah;there are age restrictions so that some rich daddy's boy doesn't just pick up his wallet and buy himself the mayor's position.
but why bother to run even if i could right now;would you as a X year old (X because i don't know your age) take a 17 year old mayor seriously? i watch cspan (on occasion...i dont really watch that trash on television too much anymore...unless its to tickle my adolescent fancy)
i understand how the government works far better than you may think;i also understand that what you see is only a fraction of what really goes on;if you can put 2 and 2 together then please tell me why billions upon billions get put into F.E.M.A. when the most you ever see produced is in the low millions?

there is alot more going on than you or I will ever know about, and thats the reality, unless u can tell me you have like security clearance then you too are in the dark;wether you wish to believe it or not.

the world is a tricky place;america is no exception

you really think that there arent poeple liek you saying the same thing about swiss governemtn? look you do what you wanna do and I will do what i wanna do but I am clearly not accomplishing what I wanted which is an exchange of ideas since you offer neither ideas nor excahnge. good night and get to bed so you can go to teh school run by the goverment that is corrupting everyone. It is soly up to you to alert as many people as possible to waht;s going on becasuse surely you are right. I'll see you when you come to vist I'll be waiting.
