Jesus is the reason for the season
I hope while everyone is opening their presents and getting dissappointed about what they didnt get, i hope that they realize that Christmas isnt about the presents.Its about celebrating the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.
I know first hand that I am not getting many things for Christmas.I dont care.Im not greedy and selfish.I dont ask for everything I want.I dont even want alot.Im glad Im not a selfish little child out there who gets dissappointed after opening up so many presents and still being sad because they didnt get something they wanted.
I love christmas.and I love it because of the music, the spirit, the lights, the celebration. and its all for JESUS.I love going to church on Christmas eve and seeing all the lights, the flowers, the wreaths, the big tree, and everyone who is in the spirit.I love it. Its so comforting knowing that everyone is there for one reason.and thats to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
I went to both services that my church offers on Christmas Eve. I participated in the 5 o clock service by singing a few songs with youth choir and reading a scripture.I then went to the 11 o clock service with my two best friends by my side.we shared in singing christmas songs and hearing of the birth of Jesus Christ.I wouldnt want to spend Christmas eve any other way.we then proceeded to drive around and look at Christmas lights-which there werent very many of-but it was still nice to be in the company of two ppl i love most on this special day.and by this time, it was christmas morning.as it is now.
I am done with wrapping my gifts, and i feel really good about my gifts this year.I finally got my parents things they deserved.I dont feel guilty about how much money I spent, because it was long overdue to give them things like I have.And Im excited to actually have my gifts in hand tmrw that I am receiving.
Just remember, that JESUS is the REASON for the SEASON.
