Tried to get into Resident Evil 0 again. I don't know why but I just cannot play that game, it may have something to do with the way you cary things or the CPU controlled crap AI. I don't know but I just cannot play that game.
It is not a bad game and it is not because it is not as good as RE 1-3. Hell I played RE Gaiden to the end just fine.

Controlling two characters could have really added to the fear element of the game. Capcom could have created situations in which you had to know where the other character was, what he was doing, etc. But you can go through most (if not all) of the game without any fear of losing the other guy. There's no suspense or urgency in that part of the gameplay.
Capcom also dropped the ball with the story. Resident Evil 0 could have been the game to give us backstory and exposition on a few of the key characters. We could have found out more about Wesker and Rebecca, and why and how they were drawn into the whole RE saga. Instead, though, they're just kinda there. Yeah, you know who they are, but in RE0, you still have only general knowledge of why they're there and who they are.
I really wanted to like the game, especially after I was completely floored by the Gamecube remake of the first game (it's one of my all-time favorites). But it just didn't happen with me. I felt there was really too much missing, and the game seemed to be unfinished (as if Capcom were rushing to capitalize on the success of the Resident Evil remake).
Maybe Capcom will return the series to its original, non-FPS (and less action-heavy) state. Maybe they'll bring back the adventure and the 'BOO!' scares. I liked that.

I do agree they need to dump this RE4/5 crap now and go back to real zombies and horror. What I would REALLY like to see is a disk or a seperate download of what is left of RE 1.5 and RE 3.5.
