1. If you could have any appearance you wanted, physically, what would you look like? Include cultural background too!
I would be a British man, but not a crazy lanky one. I would have Scottish, English and Welsh roots, but mainly English. I would have either brown or red straight hair. I would be 5.11 feet. That’s a good height. My nose would be long and narrow, my jaw would be defined. My eyes would be less round and hopefully a slightly brighter shade of blue. I would need glasses. Hmm. This is hard to think on… I don’t really picture myself as another person completely very often… Aha. The picture I’m getting right now is actually a lot like Nick Hodgson… Ok, just picture him, but get rid of his small speech impediment. Haha.
2. If you were a god/goddess, what would your name be, what would you represent, and what culture would you hail from?
I can’t just be awesome, evil Loki? Fine, I’ll make a new God. I will be Lincoln, a three legged goat man who rules over Wales. I control them all. If they don’t believe in me, I call them English, then they get mad, and then believe in me. I can make them do what I want. Anything I want… like bring me ice cream. Oh. I live in a large castle they made me, and it’s guarded by my children, who will be called Jereks. Jereks are half the size of me, at 10 feet tall, and have large tusks and evil red eyes. Don’t mess with them.
What is my purpose? Well, to keep order in Wales, otherwise they’d all go insane. I don’t know quite why I exist, then again, no one does, but I know what I’m meant to do. That’s good enough, isn’t it?
I’m also a large fan of potatoes.
3. How would you describe your musical tastes?
What! Oh dear. Ok. I like rock, alternative rock, punk rock, indie, punk, heavy rock, gypsy rock, SOME country, random stuff. I don’t know if that’s what you meant… I don’t know how to describe my music taste. I don’t always have a style. I prefer that the lyrics are very moving and beautiful, like Matt Bellamy’s or Janove Ottesen’s. I don’t much like piano by itself, but I LOVE it with other instruments, or when accompanied by vocals. I am in love with the barry sax, and not because I used to play it, but because it’s sexy. I love the organ, the accordion, bass-y sounds and percussion (unless I have a headache.) I don’t care about the language, unless the language sounds terrible. I do not like pop (most of the time,) rap (except when Janove does it, because it’s the saddest, funniest thing ever,) dub step, death metal, hiphop or other styles along those lines. Oh, I should probably add that almost any female singing voice pisses me off to no end. There are exceptions, but not many.
I don't usually listen to classical music, though I played Clarinet for seven years and quite enjoyed to play the style. I do like the more upbeat ones though, like Childrens March (Over the Hills and Far Away) from Percy Grainger. That song will forever be my favourite song that we played. I also used to play in our schools Jazz Band, which was awesome! Again, I don't usually listen to jazz, but I prefer it to be live.
4. You are the Doctor's companion! Which Doctor do you travel with? Describe your relationship with him and his coinciding companions. What is your role within the group?
I’M THE DOCTOR’S COMPANION!!!!!!!?????!!!!! YES!!!! I travel with the 5th Doctor. I do not try to make him love me, we’re just friends. He’s not super secretive with me, because we’re very close. We travel together for many years, and have a few other companions along the way. I was around for Turlough, but I’m camera shy, so you never saw me… Turlough and I didn’t usually get along. He was too whiny for my liking, but I realized how much I missed him after he left, and I wish I had gotten to know him better. Tegan and I got along fairly well. Her fashion tastes bugged me immensely, but then again, I’m from a different time period than her. Then there was also Peri. *sigh* No, things didn’t work well between us at all. She didn’t like me from the start, and with her rudeness towards me, I didn’t fancy her much either. Nyssa was ok too. We were actually pretty close, and would often test out alien recipes together. I don’t even want to talk about Kamelion. No. He was scary and I never liked him.
It was mainly a friendship between the Doctor and I. I do really miss Tegan and Vislor though.
My role was mainly to keep everything in order. I was used as a maid kind of a person, but I think that gave me added respect by the Doctor and Tegan. She really liked her clothes to be clean. Peri never appreciated my jobs and criticized them. I did get to see a lot of the planets too, of course, but that was more as a reward, because I wasn’t participating in the dangerous stuff.
5. Children often come up with strange and interesting ideas about life. What were your funniest ideas when you were little?
Oh dear… I don’t actually remember… Funny ideas about life? No idea. This is making me sad now. I wish I did remember. And maybe as soon as I post this I will remember some… I was one of those kids who always knew where babies came from. Who stopped believing in Santa before kindergarten. I’ve never been religious. I never cared where we came from or why we’re here, because I’ve always felt there is no point or reason, though that wasn’t something that was really on my mind.
I did used to believe in wishes though. I used to wish I could grow a moustache, because a man dressed as a lady - who I actually thought was a lady because I was too young- had a long beard, and at one point believed one was actually growing and freaked out because I had changed my mind. Haha.
