This is my life

The other day I had to do a drug screen for my *ahem* NEW JOB, which involved peeing in the cup that a rather surly nurse handed me. I have always suffered from performance anxiety in such situations, so when several minutes passed and I had failed to deposit enough, ah, product to clear the strip, the surly nurse sent me back into the waiting room until I was ready to try again.

One hour and five cups of water later, the surly nurse and I were best friends. She griped to me about how stupid people are (someone had called in to ask why they hadn't had their results reported to them yet - she was like "they might as well admit to me that they're doing drugs!") and we exchanged banter.

The crowning moment came when I finally emerged victorious from the bathroom, specimen in hand. "It's the wrong color," the formerly surly nurse told me. "You fail."

"Oh, shut your face," I told her.

Besties.
