Ohio Trip -- Day 3
I'm FINALLY in Ohio. It's great here. I love it! Well...at least it's not Oklahoma. I'm with my boyfriend, John, who I hadn't seen since Christmas. So I'm a little over joyed to be here.
The bus trip was OK. I had fairly normal people sit next to me this time. I did have a pregnant lady use me for a pillow from Tulsa to St. Louis. But after that I next to a girl about my age & we chatted some of the time. Most of the time I listened to my CD player & got as much sleep as I could. Which was more than I thought I would, but I'm still exhausted. As much as I love to travel, it sure takes a toll on me. My whole body will be outta whack for the next week or so.
I haven't gotten to do tons of stuff here yet. Mostly just been driving around the Dayton area & such. Seeing some of the sights & letting Johnny ramble on about the city's history. *grin* I do like the weather here. Since I'm such an avid lover of thunder storms the weather is perfect. I do hope it clears up in time for Hamvention this weekend.
What the hell is Hamvention you ask? From what I gather, it's 3 days of guys (& girls) drooling over Ham radios, computer stuff & other such electronics. Johnny loves this stuff & since I'm always up for new things, I thought "What the hell."
I'm gonna try to keep up with my internet stuff. Like my lj here & checking the Hey Arnold! message boards & at least check my email every now & then.
Speaking of Hey Arnold!, I got to Ohio just in time to catch the "Married" episode & I LOVED it. It was so funny & so awesome! Needless to say, I was not disappointed. Kudos to Craig Bartlett!
So, yeah, I like it here in Dayton & I'm gonna be here for a couple months so I'll have plenty of time to visit friends (wink, wink Ruth), scope out the sites & get a real taste of Yankee lifestyle. Whee...fun so far.
