Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince
Johnny & I were out & about today when my brother calls me. He & my family had just got back from seeing the new Harry Potter movie & telling me how great it was. It's only 6pm so I turn to Johnny, as we are just driving nowhere at this point really, & say "Let's go see the Half-Blood Prince." We caught the 6:30 showing & it was excellent. The best HP movie so far, I'd say.
Later I'll post of real opinion of it, I need to let it absorb a bit more & I have a few things I want to do before I head to bed early since I have my B&N interview tomorrow.
I do know one this if for sure, I really need to go back & reread the series. I haven't done that since it finished. I think it was about 3 years ago at least when I did, when I read the books to Johnny. Yes, I had to read them to a grown man because the only way he would read them was if I read them to him. The first couple was fine, but after he got hooked I said he should read them himself. He said it wasn't the same, since I do "voices". >_> Anyway, I did make him read the very last book himself, or he'd never know what happened. >D
However, it was a very good way for me to refresh what happened in my mine so when we talked about it later we knew what was what. It was hard for me not to give stuff away though. There were many nights he wanted me to continue reading, but I said we had to stop because if I continued I'd have to finish the book & my voice couldn't take it. I think it took a couple months, but it was fun to watch his reactions. I may have to do that again since we both know what happens & can catch all the foreshadowing.
