Well hello!
Hi! Haven't posted in a while here, but I think most of you "see" me on Facebook or Twitter.
Still, I thought I'd update y'all.
So I'm still riding the query-go-round. I've had my full manuscript out with one agent since February, and I hope he hasn't forgotten about me. The other two I had out were passed on but with encouraging words from the agents. One even invited me to query her again with any future projects I might have since she really liked my writing style. I have about eight query emails still out there, but most of them were sent pretty recently so I won't get to anxious about those yet.
And I made it to the second round (so far) in a query/sample contest on a writing blog - the next round will be judged by a lit agent, so keep those fingers crossed for me. There's also another agent-judged contest that I'll be trying to enter on Monday. "Try" because they only take the first 50 entries and then it's cut off, and there are usually people filling up the spots within the first few minutes of the contest opening. So cross your fingers on that too.
Other than that, I'm still writing. So no one can say I'm not chasing my dream, because I SO am. ; )
