my relationship is easy
i remember that this was one of the things
i was looking for
i was tired of complicated
i like that he calls
when he says he is going to call
that he stops into my work
just to say hi
even though he drove me to work early in the morning
and i appreciate those things
and i tell him i do
because i want him to know
that his kindness doesn't go unnoticed
and people keep on asking if we have said those
three big words yet
and i tell them no
and i'm okay with that
for once i don't need the words
i don't need that type of reassurance
because i'm already assured
and that is the best feeling in the world
i'm off to a bbq with him and my friends
another thing i was looking for
someone my friends actually like
their approval is important
