I totally forgot that I had one of these things... its been a long time...
Okay so I left off on a bad note. But its okay because its better now. I didn't make the sabre line for Brigs but I have a really really good flag spot!! I am looking forward to this season and its already so much fun.
My Dad got his work schedule switched to days!! Now he gets out of work at 3:45 every day so I can go over there when I'm supposed to. I'm so excited. I love being able to hang out with him.
Dad just bought us a new computer. It got shipped to the house yesterday and road runner will be hooked up on Thursday so I can get online when I'm there now. That's awesome. We're both excited.
Okay so we'll go back to April 30 (Saturday). I had Brigs from 1-10. It was a great time. It really was an overall fun weekend. We learned 38 sets. I love my flag spot. I'm by Melody and Lynette a lot which is great because those two are so much fun. When we were learning the drill we were on the parking lot because the fields were soaked and one of our drill spots was literally in a tree lol. Get it tree! hehe. I think I have a flag solo... if I don't then I'm not sure what it is. I am by myself in the middle of the field between the horns and the drumline for like 4 sets. It's exciting. I'm by the drumline for the whole show so far. That can be good but bad. Oh well.
So Saturday night after practice, I went to the Waterfront with Aleah, Amy, Lynette and Savannah. It was a good time. It was extremely weird though because usually it is me Aleah Amy Lynette Nick and Heather... but Nick isn't marching this summer!! :( and Heather wasn't there this weekend. After we went out, Aleah, Amy Lynette and I went back to the school and played UNO. Then Amy and Lynette left. Aleah and I danced around the school for a while and then we went out to the parking lot and did our drill lol. Then we did the Missy dance. Fun times. (This was at about 12:30am)
Sunday's practice went by pretty quick. Flag block was hilarious. It was so windy and Gretchen made us do tosses while jazz running. That was fun. haha. Get it Tessie.
I don't remember much of what happened through the week.
Saturday night, Dad and I went to Therese's house. We just hung out. Therese and Dad went to go get dinner and get some movies so I stayed at her house and kinda watched her two boys (Ben, 6 and Alex, 9). They were outside so I didn't really have to watch them. However, Alex came inside with a huge scratch on his leg and he told me that a kid cut him with a stick... but the way he said it it made me think his friend was just playing around and didn't mean it. Anyway, he went back outside and when Therese got back, he came in crying. Supposedly, the kid who cut him was 10 and he also threw a rock at his knee. I guess it all started because the kid was threatening them with a knife. Crazy right? Dad went over and talked to the kid's mom and Therese called the office of the apartments. Kids these days.
After that, we were going to watch Meet the Fockers but Ben and Alex both fell asleep so Stace called me and asked if I wanted to go see a movie with her and Ryan. I obviously said yes so she came and picked me up. I didn't even know what the movie was or what it was about until we got there. We saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Don't even get me started on that. It was a total waste of money. I seriously think it was the worst movie I had ever seen. Don't waste your time or money on that.
Anyway, Stacey Ryan and I went back to her house and hung out for the night. Sleepovers are great! lol. Even though they're not exactly sleep overs because they happen so often... its like he lives with us! :) Love it.
Sunday was Mother's Day. Mom went to Alex Bay with Aunt Beth, Aunt Michelle and Aunt Krissy so I didn't get to see her. It was like a gift from all of the kids. I guess they had fun though so that's cool.
On Sunday Stace took me back to Dad's house and I waited for him to get out of work. When he got out, we went over to my Grandma's house since it was Mother's Day and visited her for a while. Then we went to Kevin's house. haha it was a good time. When we were ready to leave, we got about half way down the road and Dad turned around to see if Kub had heard the horn on his car. It sounds like a tug boat. lol. So anyway, we were honking around the neighborhood. I've never seen Dad laugh that hard in my life. Two kids came up to us and said "Oh my god that sounds like a train!" haha.
So yesterday was Monday. I had school... nothing new.
Today I had my state math test. It was so easy I almost cried. It sucks that I'm a year behind in my tests though. The advanced classes that are taking 9th grade math now still had to take the 8th grade test... which sucks because I hadn't done any of that stuff since last year. Oh well.
Testing again tomorrow.
I guess thats all I have to update about for now. Next time I will try to do this sooner. Until next time...
