Sorry to all of those who actually read my journal. It's taking me quite a while to update this thing and there's a whole bunch I would love to write about. So here it is...
I left off on Friday. Dad came and picked me up. We went to Phoenix Rising and Dad got more added on to his tattoo. It looks great. I love it. He said it hurt pretty bad this time because it was really close to his elbow but he managed hehe. After that, we drove around for a while. Ate at Doug's Fish Fry. Then after that, I went back to Phoenix Rising to get my industrial. Dad dropped me off there while he went to go look at a car. So Kris did my ear. He's wicked funny. When he did it, it bled really bad. That's normal I guess though. I was so nervous when he was about to put the needle through. I couldn't feel my legs. Anyway, it didn't hurt at all. I was happy. It looks pretty cool.
Saturday was NORTHEAST CHAMPIONSHIPS! Oh my god, what a fun time. AND we got SECOND! It was such a great accomplishment. We got our silver medals. It felt great. Of course it would've been better to have received gold, but silver is just fine. Especially considering that we moved up a class. :) I'm so proud of this winterguard!
Sunday was Easter! Dad got me some candy. hehe. We just pretty much hung out for the day. We went over to Kevin's house for a couple hours. It was fun. I got to hang out with Kevin, Bobby, and Crystal which I haven't done in a while. We played hack like we always used to. It was a fun time.
Monday... No school. Umm, I don't remember what I did.
Tuesday I went to school and then had practice. It was a fun time. We did rock paper scissors to see who was in each run through. Rock went first then paper then scissors. I love when we do that cause it really gives you a chance to see everyone individually.
Wednesday.. school. I went to Dad's afterwards. We hung out, got a pizza and watched a movie. The movie was Bowling for Columbine because I have to do a research project on it. Although it didn't help much. Then we watched American Idol. I wish Dad worked days because then we could hang out at night like we used to. Oh well. Hopefully he'll get his hours switched soon.
Thursday.. school and guard. I don't remember how guard went except that the time that we started practice on Saturday depended on how well our run through went lol. It was supposed to start at 10 but they switched it to 11 cause we had a great run. That was exciting hehe.
Friday.. school. I wasn't going to go to school because I wanted to go to Cornell with Stacey to go on a tour but I didn't end up doing it. I wish I would've though because she said it's awesome there. I'll go with her another time and I'm sure I'll stay with her when she moves in there.
Today (Saturday) I had guard from 11-2. Practice went really well. At the end, we played the "name game" hehe. I love when we do that. And then we had this little performance thing for parents and whoever wanted to come. So we did it by class. Since I'm the only one in middle school, Linda says "okay 8th grader, set up for a run!" I was like "WHAAAT!" lol. I got out there, ready to do it and then she sends the freshmen out with me. That was a relief lol. So each class went and we did a run through with everyone. It was awesome. After that, we had a dinner thing from 2-4. It was so fun. We started out by watching a DVD that Jen's Dad made. It was cool. He recorded the CNS show from our mental run through's, warm up, Nathalie's speach, and our performance. It was cute. Then when that ended, the instructors went up to the front of the room and gave us this speach on how we are gold medalists to them and that we deserve them. They said we have the biggest accomplishment that Central Square has had in a long time. So they gave us each gold medals that say "1st Place" on the front and "Central Square Winterguard 2005" ingraved on the back along with our name. It was adorable. We have the best instructors ever. So then we ate and everything. Erin and I put wipped cream on our hand and smeared it all over Kaitlyn's face. lol. Then Kaitlyn got me wicked bad. I had it in my hair, ear, and all over my face lol. It was fun.
I'm so sad that the season is almost over. I'm so proud of this group of people and I'm am so happy that I had the opportunity to participate in this season's show. I'm going to miss it so much.
Mid York Championships are tomorrow! I'm incredibly nervous but I'm ready to rock the place because that's what we deserve. Wish us luck!
And good luck to all the other guards performing along with the Central Square Drumline! Whoo hoo! :)
Okay well I guess that's all I really have to say. I'll be sure to update again soon to let everyone know how we did at championships! :)
Until next time...
