I'm back

Oh, it's been a long, long time.

Being home for winter break is absolutely fantastic. Christmas was really nice. Extremely hectic, though.

Ashley visited from Kentucky and that was amazing. Went out with her the past two days. Probably drank more than I should have. Probably meaning definitely, of course. First night we went 'bar hopping' if you will. Fireside, Fridays, and Coyles. Coyle's was a lot of fun. Met up with more people there. Good times. Following night we went to Jeff Avala's house. Bunch of guys from high school that Ashley hung around with were there. It's nice to hang around guys because there's not nearly enough testosterone at good ole Wheelock. Another month and she'll be back again for her birthday. Can't wait for that. I'm hoping I'll be able to have some money to go visit her before next summer.

I really wish I had a job over break. Not that I'm bored or anything. [I haven't had the chance to be bored yet.] But I desperately need money. I have $17 to my name. No income. And when I go back to school, I need to present a $300 check for Ireland. Problem? I'd say. As I get closer to graduating, I get more and more worried about money. And being home, I get the family issues over money as well. We don't have enough to pay bills. Or to fix the shower that is leaking downstairs. Seriously, floods downstairs. Because of this, we must go in the shower, quickly get wet and then shut the water off while washing.

I am an asshole for going to expensive ass Wheelock and putting the family in debt. As with the Ireland. Selfish? Basically.

I threw out my back a couple days ago. Was absolutely thrilled when it didn't hurt the following day. Until I leaned over the bathroom sink and voila. It's been hurting ever since. I've been on the couch/bed for the past 2 days. And doing my back exercises. And popping pills. Hoping it goes away real, real soon.

No plans for New Years. What are you doing? Any ideas?

I miss my brother and sister. I was excited to come home and spend time with them, but they're never home. Shannon works at the bank all day then goes to Chris's Pizza until close. Then she comes home and goes to bed because, reasonably, she's exhausted. Cory is on vacation now, but he's at practice or meets for the day and then goes to work at Chris's too. Next week, he'll be back at school so from there he'll go to practice and then work. The United States should have a month vacation like Italy does. When everyone is on vacation. That way people aren't too busy and you get to see them.

I really love home cooked meals. Suppertime.
