[ Ted ]
[ startraveling ] Tyr met Ted when his father brought him to Gregminster under the assumption that Ted was a war orphan. From then, Tyr broke down Ted's cold defenses and the two became fast friends. Ted is from the past, though, and like Gremio, this leaves Tyr feeling strange. Even more so than with Gremio since Tyr knows Gremio will come back and they'll be together back home. Unlike back home, Tyr ends up keeping some secrets from Ted to try to make himself seem more like the person Ted when he was fourteen than the person he is now. He tries not to think about this so he can focus on the good times instead.
[ Riou ]
[ everhoping ] Riou found Tyr at Banner Village, and back in their world, Tyr assists Riou's army and helps Riou train. In the City, their relationship has become more casual with the two of them being like a couple of friends who do friend-like things. They train together and fish together, and before Tyr left Brave Vesperia, they worked together in two different jobs. Still, Riou is actually someone Tyr worries over for not being able to find closure for the war he's fighting against his best friend. Even though Riou seems happy most of the time, Tyr can't help but think he's sad beneath that.
[ Luc ]
[ wind_magic ] Luc and Tyr met on Magician's Island way back when Tyr was part of the Empire, but they later became comrades in the Liberation Army that Tyr commanded. Honestly, Tyr doesn't really understand Luc, but he's important to Tyr nonetheless and he could almost consider him a friend. More or less, though, Luc is someone Tyr tries not to bother too much unless he's worried about him for some reason or thinks he needs his help. He doesn't dislike Luc, though he can find him annoying, but Luc isn't the first person Tyr comes to for companionship.
[ Sheena ]
[ moregirls ] Sheena. Sheena blew Tyr off the first time they met because the girl he was trying desperately to hit on wasn't giving him the time of day. That changed when Sheena's daddy came and dragged Sheena into the Liberation Army. I'm sure there are no sore feelings. Through the war, Sheena wasn't very useful, but it was nice for Tyr to have someone his own age who also didn't call him Lord Commander Master McDohl. They're casual friends, and Sheena is someone Tyr actually would like just hanging out with. He doesn't have the same level of trust as Tyr's closest friends, but Tyr sees Sheena as a guy who doesn't need to be involved in Tyr's deeper issues or feelings.
He left the City once and returned again, only to leave again shortly after in June 2011.
And he returned again in September 2011. Gosh Sheena just stay already.

[ Yuri Lowell ]
[ notflynn ] Tyr and Yuri have had a complicated relationship history since they met when Tyr and Riou arrived in the City. Once they were comrades in Brave Vesperia together, then the slug plot turned things sour as Tyr lost his faith in Yuri, who tried to strangle him. Even now, Tyr questions Yuri, but he has faith that Yuri is essentially a good person who believes more in JUSTICE than revenge or something like that. They're able to spend time together like they had when Tyr arrived and have a casual, friendly relationship, and Tyr puts his trust in Yuri.
[ Rita Mordio ]
[ blastiafreak ] Rita was Tyr's slug child in the slug plot. Tyr has all but forgotten about that time, though, along with those awkward times afterwards. In those times and all the ones after it, Rita has shown herself to Tyr as someone who's dependable and trustworthy - enough so that Tyr confided in her about the Soul Eater's curse, and she developed a blastia to seal its powers. In this way, she's given him a lot of hope. The two of them still argue fairly frequently, though, and don't always see eye-to-eye. The fact she doesn't get along with Ted is a source of headaches for Tyr. Nevertheless, she is one of Tyr's closest and dearest friends, and his feelings for her go a bit beyond that.
[ Klarth F. Lester ]
[ whackaspirit ] Klarth and Tyr met over the network and at first, their relationship was about Ratatosk, and Klarth fell into that 'scientist that does scientist-y things that I don't really care about' slot that Rita also occupied. Their relationship developed far past that point, though, with the two becoming good friends and having some mutual teasing times going on. Klarth also sometimes gives Tyr that fatherly vibe with the way he cares about and supports Tyr. Tyr really knew that Klarth was more than just concerned in a fatherly way when they split the price of reviving Gremio together. He feels like he should make this up to Klarth in some way, but he's also content just having fun with his friend.
[ Toph Bei Fong ]
[ seesbydoing ] Either the winner or runner up of most awkward meeting, Tyr met Toph after he ended up making out with Sokka during the mistletoe curse. She has proved to be an incredible pain for Tyr since then, and he really can't say he likes or cares about her! She manages to be more annoying than Luc.
[ Eagle Vision ]
[ eagleofautozam ] From first meeting Eagle and helping him out of one of the fountain's illusions, Tyr would have thought he would be a decent guy. A colleague of Rita's can't be too bad, right? Eagle is somewhere between "look out for" and "watch out for". Tyr doesn't really quite trust Eagle, between his stealing (and poorly, at that) and telling Tyr to look for Eagle's enemy for help, Tyr doesn't feel like Eagle is a trustworthy person, but he might be someone that can be reasoned with, at least.
[ Flynn Scifo ]
[ srslynotguy ] While Tyr and Flynn met early on in Tyr's stay in the City, the two don't really know each other well. They know more about their mutual friends than each other. They sort of...bonded in the slug plot and were comrades. As slugs. In fact, they infected Rita together and Flynn was the father. While they've spoke a few times since that time, they aren't really friends in the way either of them are friends with Yuri.

[ Oerba Dia Vanille ]
[ heldourfate ] Riou introduced them during the plague plot! Tyr likes her fine, though he hasn't spoken to her much. She seems like a spirited person that he'd expect Riou's friends to be like. He thinks her heart is probably usually in the right place, even though he doesn't believe she thinks everything through.
In June 2010, Vanille left the City and was the first person he personally knew to do so. While she has returned, Tyr has not made contact with her again.
[ Annallee ]
[ starsical ] Despite sort of living together for a while, Tyr only really sees Annallee as that girl in Riou's army who's Connell's good friend. Yep, nothing at all for her.
Then she left the City along with Connell in 2010.
[ Meredy ]
[ hweeeeeel ] Tyr met Meredy when she first arrived and tried to help her find Keele! Since then, she's made a trio of Tyr and Riou's pair. Even though she's pretty ditzy, Tyr respects her as a mage. She's a pretty nice person, but he can't help but think she's like Riou. Nice, energetic, a little derpy. And like Riou, he enjoys spending time with her even if she can be strange to him sometimes.
She left the City in early November 2010.
[ Jowy Atreides-Blight ]
[ stillprotecting ] Okay, so at first, Tyr was really quite suspicious of Jowy since, well, it's rather questionable that someone would continuously fight and betray their best friend. However, while Tyr doesn't really trust Jowy, he has come to trust him enough to know he wouldn't kill Riou and just hopes the two friends manage to not bring their war into the City. But Jowy seems like a really decent guy. Tyr does not dislike him.
[ Connell ]
[ sound_rune ] Tyr found Connell when he arrived at the City, and that's mostly where they've gotten to know each other beyond 'hero of Toran' and 'phonologist kid'. In that time, Tyr has come to find Connell to be a very polite boy with determination and high aspiration. Also that he makes nice cookies and tea. Out of all his housemates, Connell is the one Tyr felt closest to, eventually seeing Connell as almost a younger brother.
He disappeared from the City around the end of October 2010, and reappeared during February 2011. While Connell is missing some important memories, Tyr tries to treat him all the same while not overwhelming the young man.
[ Sokka ]
[ notsobendy ] Katara's brother who likes to fish and use weapons. Tyr thinks he's pretty okay and a decent friend, but he seems to be stuck in the slot of Katara's brother who's clumsy and acts sort of pushy.
[ Presea ]
[ pharles_at_life ] Presea was one of Tyr's first friends in the City. They seemed to come from the same types of world, and Presea was with Tyr through some of the harder times in his stay in the City. He enjoyed her humour and good energy she had, and he even liked being married to her in a curse because of this. When she left the City in June 2011, shortly after she married someone else from her world, he wondered if her time in the City had any effect on her life in her homeworld.
[ Gremio ]
[ axeofoath ] Gremio is like family to Tyr and has been with him since Tyr was a young child. If asked, Tyr would say Gremio is his servant, but Tyr cares about him much than that and would do almost anything for Gremio. Most of the time, though, Tyr is a typical young master and bosses Gremio around - and Gremio doesn't seem to mind! In May, Tyr gave his life away for two months in order to bring Gremio back to life fully for a combination of reasons. Gremio continues to be one of the most important people in the City for Tyr.
Gremio left the City in July 2011 a day after Riou supposedly disappeared. Tyr was the most heartbroken though he tries to hide this by saying at least Gremio is alive back home.
[ Apollo ]
[ heliolatrous ] Apollo is a guy who can float and proclaim himself "God". He seems proud of it, but Tyr really thinks he's full of hot air and is just an annoyance. Maybe more than Toph. Tyr doesn't have any strong feelings about him, though, beyond the fact he thinks Apollo is weird and sort of bothersome.
[ Iroh ]
[ o_tea_p ] When Tyr met Iroh, Tyr thought Iroh was someone that died many years ago and existed only as a soul in his Rune now. Yeah. He knows better now, and he thinks Iroh is a pretty decent, nice guy. He still thinks about and feels bad about their first meeting, though.
[ Aska ]
[ laughswithfan ] At first, Aska was mainly a girl that Gremio fussed over - probably because of her age - but after everyone she lived with left the City, Tyr took her in. He didn't really have a strong opinion of her, other than she wasn't bad for a little kid. Nevertheless, he was happy for her when she was able to return home in the summer of 2011.
[ Kanone Hilbert ]
[ cateyedhunter ] Tyr had his eye on Kanone since the moment he met him. In a bad way. Kanone comes off as a suspicious person to Tyr, one who might cause a lot of damage and hurt someone. And even if it was through a curse, Tyr ended up being the one hurt by Kanone. Their relationship is more than that, though, with Tyr mostly pitying and worrying about Kanone, and even relating to him in some ways. There could have been a friendship, but Tyr closes off his emotions from Kanone and Tyr is almost operating under more of his former wartime mindset when he's with Kanone.
He disappeared in early autumn of 2011.
[ Katara ]
[ drizzlinginside ] Tyr met Katara shortly after she arrived, and they became fast friends and able to confide in each other soon. She's more optimistic than Tyr, and that optimism and hope rubbed off on Tyr to help make him the person he is in the City now. At the start of 2011, Tyr and Katara began dating and continue to do so. While Tyr, for a long time, would go quiet and keep his concerns a secret from Katara (and you can't blame a girl for not wanting to hear her girlfriend constantly cry about the chance he could cause he death), but they came to be able to confide in each other again. He loves her deeply, and she's one of the reasons Tyr doesn't really want to leave the City.
She left the City at the beginning of December 2011 without a word.
